Now everyone else, Fellas, I’ve been researching this and in talks with both ATT and Verizon as well as the smart module manufacturer since June. They’re sick of me already. I tested CDMA earlier this year and swore to never sell it because of coverage, it sucks so I chose to go with ATTs chipset in the same module I sell because they were exclusively 3G on my devices. 3G has different bands on its infrastructure such as CDMA, EVDO etc...3G itself won’t stop, but certain slower bands that piggy back off it will not be allowed to buy a service/data plan. Verizon’s CDMA won’t go away, but dont expect to activate one come 2022. Service plan activations are what’s at stake, they just dont activate you past that date. I’ll get you guys a number at ATT to call if anyone’s in doubt tomorrow. I’m not in the business to lie or deceive nor misinform. I actually care as if your Tacoma’s were mine, so if you recall the last run where my vendor tried to pull a fast one on me thinking I wouldn’t notice they gave me Verizon CDMA at a too good to be true price, which screwed me because I based my margins and price off that, and if you haven’t noticed, I’m selling the same product as the company everyone loves to compare me to (humbling and an honor by the way) at a very reasonable, almost non profitable price already to my forum family! I spent $5k that was not refundable, only a vendor credit could be issued. And they had no ATT 3G to offer me in exchange, because they bought so much Verizon CDMA, that they needed to burn that stock first. So guess what I did, I let them keep the money, returned the garbage to them, spent more $$$ per unit for non dead stock $hit, chewed my margin up but a price is a price, was’t going to ask for a penny more if that’s what a customer already paid for it (I was willing to even lose money per unit to maintain my business perception, but nearly broke even on them) called each customer that pre purchased one, explained to them the situation and that there will be a delay because I want the best product for them, and was willing to offer a refund if one week for the best product at a disgustingly low price was too much for them, then upgraded the free shipping 5-7 business days most chose to priority 1-3 days which cost me double; to try to make up for the lost time. Not one person was non-understanding and chose to forgo an extra 5 days so they could go pay $50 more for the same product you know where. I’m OCD, a lot of folks on here know this, I get my ducks in a row and donmy do diligence. I have no shame coming here and saying I stand corrected, but the point is, I get it right so I don’t ever have to. Perfection, honesty, quality, perception, and customer satisfaction are more important to me. If I put my business name on something, I’m not going to screw anyone. So 6 months of research and hours on the phone, I think I got it right, and if not, a lot of people on the other end in different departments and companies that don’t know each other did one hell of a job conspiring against me. I’d say highly unlikely. Now I like people to feel good and comfortable about what they’re getting, so I’ll post some dialogue, proof and contacts for ANYONE on here in doubt to call, how about that? Moral of the story, if I wouldn’t use it myself or don’t already, neither will you because I’ll refuse to sell it. Bottom line. Test me!

 

Is the first year subscription included in my purchase of the Smartphone version or is that in addition to the cost of the system?

@jayrobot Would you mind explaining a little more about the shutdown process for the MT to enter ready mode? Is it Brake, Neutral, E-Brake, key off but car stays running, get out, lock the truck, and then the truck turns itself off? Or when you turn the key off does the truck also turn off. Also does this process change if there are passengers in the truck? Thanks!

You nailed it. Same rule applies to passengers. Last door closed seals the deal. Any door opened after that, gotta do that dance again. And yes, engine stays running then shuts off 1-2 seconds later upon successful sequencing.

 

So I keep my briefcase in the backseat. Will this sequence throw it off?.... Set brake, pull key, open driver's door, open rear door, close rear door, close driver's door, press lock.

I'd rather not have to get back into the driver's seat after getting my briefcase out.

Unfortunately not, I don’t have any requests. I only sell remote starters to Canada. But 12VS can sell you one that goes on my unit. If you do buy a remote starter from me, I can PM the details you would give them or put in the checkout notes so they give you the right adapter. I apologize for the inconvenience sir.

 

Ok, so let me clear it up. Confirmed that activation deadlines are for SIM products, aka mobile phones. These devices are under contractual agreements, there are no activation deadlines. The only deadline is when towers completely shutdown 3G service, and even more so, this is for voice over. So let me comfort you guys some more, the 3G chipset I sell is a dual chip that grabs either ATT or T-Mobile signals. T-mobile has no end date.

So if you check coverage on where you live, check 3G for both ATT and T-mobile. I hope this finally puts this whole debacle to rest. ATT, Verizon, T-mobile and the smart module manufacturer have blacklisted me and I’m not allowed to call anymore. I don’t care, because I do it for my people! Ok, so let’s take a vote, I will let you guys decide and voice the smart module approach. With 4G on the cusp of release, I almost had my hands on it but the vendor had to return them to the factory because they misprinted the graphics and manuals were incorrect, both of which I toss anyways, but they couldn’t take the risk of the wrong packaging being leaked. So I anticipate it’ll be very soon, and so I’d like to see if you guys would rather pre-sale purchase them, while taking the trade off of the possibility for a little bit more of shipping to you delay. I aimed to ship second week for December and still do it for anyone not adding the smart module to their cart or purchasing the smart module alone. Here are the conditions, of you pre-purchasing the 4G during my black Friday sale, you’ll get it for the 3G price for your patience. If you wait, you will not get it for the 3G Black Friday price, you will not get it for the 3G normal price, you'll get it for it's regular 4G price of $189. Shipping is always free regardless. Now, if you do purchase the 3G, if you decide to return it in exchange for the 4G, you'll be charged a 25% restocking fee per our return policy since it will be used and needs to be re-conditioned to it's original state which requires me to deal with the factory to release it from your account. All this takes time, not to mention it shipped free to you, not free for me. So you would also have to cover return shipping back to me, that's anywhere from $8-$15. So if you do that, it will cost you almost $50 to return, plus another $30 for the price difference. You'd be out $80. Don't do it. 3G is fine, and you can read a few posts up that there is nothing to worry about, but I'd rather sell 4G than bring in 3G. About 10 pieces. So let's vote. Vote in this thread in the very first post please.

By the way, you guys will be the first in the nation with 4G if the majority votes this way. I personally want to sell the best and latest product. My goal is to have it in your hands IN DECEMBER, as of now, that's the goal, but subject to change. Now if anything changes, I will always offer you guys options such as refund, two part shipment because I am paying for free priority 1-3 shipping when its all ready to go, which is not cheap, you will be billed shipping for the second part shipment if you decide to go this route - this is due to me charging you the same price for a 3G black friday unit, but on a 4G, this will NEVER happen again. And because I have already have given you free shipping on the first part/remote starter, this non-incentive makes it easier for me to package it all once, together and print a shipping label once and be done with it. Time is valuable for me, so a two part shipment is extra time spent. Considering the bargain you're getting, it would be better to wait. I will keep you guys updated weekly, or even less as I get news from my source.
