    On our Tacoma’s...

    Start/stop engine
    Lock/unlock door
    Check door status
Locate via GPS on a map.

    Nothing else.

Stoked for the lock status feature.. my wife’s got a bad habit of not locking up her car and having me get out of bed to check on it when I’m 90% asleep! Just out of curiosity will the GPS locate work when the car is mobile? Similar to lojack etc

I may have overlooked, and the website is not working for me (may be due to work computer).

But what is the lowest price for a plug and play remote kit for a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road? Vehicle is automatic.
Sorry if it's been answered, looking to possibly buy tonight or tomorrow.

Yup! However it’s not real time tracking, it doesn’t show a moving vehicle. It will show a location based on the moment you inquired. So the more you press the more it moves the needle. Great for keeping tabs on those darn teenage kids and/or loved one in an an emergency...And if you don’t trust valet, you can see if they’re using your vehicle for errands too haha!

Now if our vehicles weren’t as lame as the Tacoma, say you take it out in the future because you can and put it on your next vehicle that does have trunk pop or windows roll down on the OEM FOB, the app gives you those buttons too. I sold one to a gentleman on here with a wife that has an accord, he has trunk pop now on his app. Rule of thumb, if the button exists on your OEM FOB, my smart module and app can do it. As far as AC, Heating, defrost, or seat warmers, you must leave it on when exiting the vehicle and it’ll be on. The same settings when you turn the vehicle on with the app. Granted some vehicle reset power to seat warmers and defrost on ignition cycle, but as far as AC/Heating, I can validate that whatever temp, fan level and so on you left it on at before exiting the vehicle, that’s what it’ll come on when remote starting via FOB or app.

Ugh, I’m literally about to buy the 4g module because I think I’ll regret it if I don’t get it for the Black Friday pricing ‍♂️

Second week, that’s the goal yes. It’s the ones with the smart module that got pushed out past that. Reason being is that this was a pre-sale to lock in the prices, the harness for PTS are on back order with an ETA to me first week of December. Bear in mind I clean them up and re-wrap them because there is a birds nest of extra wires that aren’t needed and can create confusion, then I test them one by one. No one else does that so this doesntwo things, pushes outbound lead time out, but guarantees you’re not going to have to call me for a defective return label/exchange which is actually more time because I have to wait to get the old one before sending a new one. Most agree that this is a great thing I do that no one else does. I only do this for my Tacoma family because I am biased hahah...no actually because I have a PTS, father in law has HKEY, and well I have access to a MT. Any other males and models are sent with reliance on the factories QA/QC, which is also 100% assured. If something else happens, it’s usually someone really trying hard to be destructive...example, we all know NOT to pull a cable out by the harness/cable/wires and by the connectors only, right? Wrong, people aren’t created equally when it comes to technical aptitude, but I still take care of thier short comings regardless. I roll my eyes secretly when someone says it’s not working because if I could, I would record video showing your serial number on one of my vehicles doing what I promised and sold you it would do...but it’s ok, I love you all equally haha...just don’t talk $hit about my product, it’s not the gun that kills people and it’s not the device that self destructs itself upon landing in your hands lol. I just say this, let’s get on the phone and fix the problems and if that doesn’t work, I’ll do what it takes to make anyone’s short comings right...I’ve been known to send cash gift cards on some occasions in the past for things I discovered later were the fault of my customer, so now I make sure it was me that overlooked something before I do that. I’m very true about you being happy at the end with whatever result you chose to obtain. My goal and hopeful result is a working product, even for the very few that may have struggled to get there. Sometimes colored 2-page instructions, labels, and YouTube videos are not enough for some folks but whatcha gonna do...this is the nature of the beast, and I accept that. Tacoma forum members are pretty sharp for the most part so only 25% or less actually get on the phone. One guy tried to install it without instructions...I guess he may have been hoping to nail the magical fob programming sequence after a few 1000 tries and hours burnt? That’s some of the folks that I wish I could interview before selling to them! I would ask how they passed the DMV test and got their license lol!

I’m working on one to do the pop n lock through the app independently, without locking/unlocking the doors ...early next year. Keep your eyes peeled. I also have some inventions in the pipeline for you guys. I’m a tinkerer. That’s how I got MT to work, and safely before anyone else. If I see a need somewhere to solve a problem, you bet I’m going to solve it if demand is there or if I think it’s cool enough for me, I’ll share it with you!

You will. It took me two weeks and reading how others have it and live it before I pulled the trigger. Mods are addicting. You will realize the smart app will be the only way you do it from now on. I always have my phone on me, never my FOB.

Subbed. This may be something I invest in the near future.Lets say your car gets stolen, can you use the smartphone tracking system to turn off your car while it is moving?

I will tell you as someone who has received information on a vehicle location for law enforcement purposes using something similar it worked to pinpoint the stolen vehicle to the exact garage.

While moving no, saftey liability, but you can sure as hell track it. If it’s PTS, engine cuts off when door is opened. If they crawl through a window, the engine cuts off when they depress the brake to attempt to shift. In HKEY, if they don’t have the key, then they can’t do key take over, hence engine cuts off when they press the brake. The only way your vehicle can be stolen nowadays is if you start your engine with the FOB (not remote start 3x but actually push the ignition) and leave, they CAN drive off but once they stop, they’re not going anywhere. If you start it with the FOB, (not remote start 3x but actually push the ignition) and leave the smart FOB in there, then YOU ARE handing them the keys, same as leaving an Hkey in the ignition and leaving the vehicle there running. The other way is to flatbed your vehicle. There is no more hot wiring, because our keys have transponders in them. So how were you thinking they might steal it if I may ask?

This does the same, this drops the needle in the exact location in my driveway (long drive way) further back. Telematics now a days are much more in tune and bada$$ than they were before!
