I have no doubt that you guys are winter strong, this ain’t your first rodeo as far as cold...how did we ever survive before technology! (Says the guy wearing layers currently in LA with a low of 53 as of 12:30 AM)

Maybe I should get some N2 Lighters sent out to y’all, and start branding some firewood! Look at it this way, you won’t go through this WHOLE winter without your purchase, just be strong for me. I’m coming to rescue real damn soon!

Sounds like you need a Wi-Fi app controlled thermostat for your home too! With that said, guys keep in mind my company isn’t only connected vehicles, I do a lot of connected/smart homes (before that was even a term). I was designing my own circuits and code/protocols to control things, but never patented crap because I was a stupid college kid way back then...now if you can’t beatem, join’em. I carry all name brand stuff like Ring, Nest and so on. Cheaper than Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, Best Buy and so on, because they’re not allowed to sell for less than MSRP, and from me, no tax outside of CA. I have wholesale access, but the rule is, I can’t post anything on my website because I could potentially undercut the big names in the game mentioned above which wouldn’t be fair to them, that and I don’t want to get cut off!

I can control and monitor all the following and more from my home:

    - AC/Heating Thermostat
    - Sprinkler System
    - Interior Lights/Dimming
    - Landscape lights
    - Pathway lights
    - Christmas lights
    - Door Locks/Bolts
    - Garage Door
    - Property Gate
    - Property Side Entry door Strike (Buzz people in)
    - Cameras
    - Smoke detector
    - Carbon Monoxide
    - Monitor temperatures/humidity in the house and in kids room
    - Control Laundry Washer/Dryer
    - Monitor for water leaks under water heater and kitchen sink/dish washer
    - Arm/Disarm Home Security/Alarm system

And more $hit I can’t even think of now. Wife thinks I’m crazy, I call it a hobby. Other call me a tech freak of nature, or nerd. That’s a complement because I gets $hit done!

My company’s philosophy is “if you can control it from your phone, we do it!” Your world from the palm of your hands.

So if you’re interested, PM me!

Haven’t sleep yet...here is a little teaser; attempting to put a small dent in the process by doing some package prepping as we receive product in slowly to meet demand and outbound to all of you. Box prepping, part number label slapping, order sorting and so on. This isn’t even all of the boxes yet..I don’t sleep till it’s all outta here! (And maybe until it’s installed and you’re smiling)...might be taking a short nap during that part though. So I apologize in advance.

Your first day is tomorrow Mel, 3AM, not a minute later. One coffee break, at 1AM the next day. You clock out 3PM the day after that.

You have to show up to be fired. But I still won’t fire you. Guess what, you’re rehired before you’re first day again!

If you decide you need to ship mine in two boxes, shoot me a PM and I'll ship you over $15.00 more to cover the shipping of the second.

Also, on the note of home automation / smart homes... I'm interested. Do we have a thread kicking around separate to this?

I ordered my basic unit last week, got the confirmation email, but had not heard anything, so I sent an email to N2. I received an instant reply, time stamped 6:00 am, with a request to call him for info.
First guys, what business have you ever dealt with that answers the phone at 6:00 am. Jimmy then spent the next 15 minutes giving me detailed info about the unit, his business model and the time window I could expect my delivery.....and much more. I felt so reassured after talking to him that he was going to do everything he could to service forum members.
Great job bro......try to get some sleep.

    I also have two orders.
And am very interested in home automation. Running Samsung smart things at the moment; been looking at smart t-stats (would need 3) that work on a 2-wire system.

I think we’re going to make it...I appreciate the offer, but I won’t take any money even if it came down to it. That’s very kind of you, however, that’s my responsibility to you.

As far as connected/smart home, not sure, I’d have to look to see where that would even go on here...

PM me your contact info, always happy to offer advice, no commitments needed or feel obligated at all. This is my passion so even educating is fun for me. Smart things limits you to whatever they have to offer, sometimes I prefer a decentralized system because if your smart thing hub goes down, everything is rendered non functional. With a decentralized system, the only thing between me/my phone and the actual devices is my AC router.

While we wait for our PTS harnesses to trickle in, we’ve started on our HKEY TPMS interface prepping for both manual and automatic. Sometime was spent today prepping our 3rd gen HKEY automatic and manual Tacoma TPMS interface for our remote starters. We snipped the excess wires you won’t need, keep the two that you will, then twist the pair together, and go into a 2-in-2-out lever/clamp style joint connector at the very ends. For our AT and MT HKEY customers, this will interface to the ONLY wire you will snip on your vehicle side. Once it’s snipped on your end, you’ll have two open leads that land on our 2-in-2-out connector. Using our included instructions, you’ll land the proper wire in the proper terminal. The only tool you’ll need is a wire splicer to remove just a little over 1/4” of the insulation from the wires you just snipped on your Tacoma’s TPMS lead, insert the wires, and push the clamp lever down on our connector. Your TPMS is still fully functional, and it’s normal for it to be ON until you either turn the car off or jump in, pop your key in and do key take over! No need for crimps, crimp tool, soldering gun, shrink tubing or electrical/technical experience what so ever. We want your experience to be truly plug-n-play! For the Automatic HKEY customers, that it. For our MT customers, you’ll have to tap using our provided interface, your clutch cancel using the provided tap and included instructions. We’ll show that later and there will a be a YouTube video too. Stay tuned!

Please forgive me if this is a silly question or has already been answered. I purchased the h key for automatic. If my heat is on the on position when I turn the truck off, will it turn on when remote started? Or will I have to get in and insert the key to the on position for the heat to come on? I know that some accessories don’t come on until the key is turned on.

    GREAT QUESTION!!!

WHATEVER STATE YOU LEFT YOUR SEAT WARMERS ON PRIOR TO SHUTDOWN, INCLUDING HEAT LEVEL, IT WILL COME BACK ON AFTER A REMOTE START, REGARDLESS IF IT WAS REMOTE STARTED VIA 3X REMOTE FOB,
SMART PHONE APP, SMART FOB AND PTS IGNITION PRESS, or HKEY STARTED DIRECRLY INTO THE IGNITION!!!

@El Taco Blanco - Matt, please forgive the all caps, I’m not yelling at you hahaha...this is actually an exciting public service announcement that has gone unsaid by me. I am actually glad you asked. It’s a disservice to people in cold regions NOT to know this or utilize it. Most have focused on the AC/Heating, but those with leather seats in the winter will get you real well, including me. Doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, that cold goes through your clothes into your bones.

In that picture it looks like you cleaned up the tpms harness and added a connector to it. I've found some install videos that show the tpms wire we cut gets spliced or soldered . Looks clean and will cut down on my install time. Thanks

    ***ANNOUNCEMENT***

DO NOT UPDATE YOUR CL6 (OR MYCAR) APP! THE iOS release 3.3.56 crashes upon opening. Some users with iPhones/iOS have reported this happening to them. I would turn auto update off and stick with version 3.3.45 for now until further notice. No word on android users though, I still wouldn’t try.
