here are a few more videos for the H-key 6MT crowd that should help. Not great camera work from my really old iPhone haha. Should probably stop spending money on this truck and get a new phone one of these days.

1st one is to help with the wiring (mine's already installed but hopefully this clears up some confusion from the instructions). I mention that the ground wire isn't on the paper instructions anywhere...turns out it is, I just didn't know what it was.....but hopefully it's a little more clear now.
    https://youtu.be/WvtXlJODjos

here are 2 pics of the TPMS wiring (you're cutting the GREEN wire):
    upload_2018-12-18_15-14-0.jpgupload_2018-12-18_15-14-0.jpg

Thanks again Jimmy for your help yesterday (those pics were from my text thread with him last night haha)

and the 2nd one here is to walk through Reservation Mode and actually starting the truck. It's kinda touchy, so make sure you do it correctly otherwise the truck won't stay in Reservation Mode and won't start.
    https://youtu.be/j0fnaCyWYhY

Jimmy's instructions for the Clutch Start Cancel tap were pretty clear so I forgot to go over that in the video, but hopefully you should be able to cruise right through it.

Everything else can only physically be plugged into one slot (all the connections are different shapes / sizes) so you really can't mess it up.

Probably took me a total of 3hrs because I sat looking at the instructions and rewatching the other videos that are posted in this thread trying to troubleshoot the ground wire issue and texting Jimmy back and forth (didn't want to clip the wrong wire!) and being super careful / slow removing the connectors (they ALL have release tabs) and the trim (first attempts at taking it all apart)......that said, I could probably bang the whole thing out in 30min now that I know the routine.

Hope this helps! Well worth the effort!

Thanks for the info doublethebass! I'm literally stuck at this very moment on the TMPS wire. I cut the green wire, but how do I get the two ends to reach into the two holes of the grey connector? There isn't enough slack!

yep, that was the only difficult part.......I had to move the wiring harness up and to the left a bit (it's kind of hanging down where it sits normally) and then there was BARELY enough slack to make it happen. I actually don't like where it's at because i feel like the right pull could rip the whole thing out, but it's in there pretty tight. Gave it a few tugs.

Some day I'll get back under there with a soldering iron and clean it up. Cut the slack out from the white/pink and white/green wires and direct connect them for a clean install.

Nevermind. Figured it out. You have to bend the connector head so that the two green wire ends turn into each other. I'm wondering how this will hold up. I'm thinking of getting some extra 18 gauge wire and just splicing them into the green wires to make sure there's no tension as they go into that grey connector.

Yeah, that mf-er is in there really tight! One other thing, when you went to program, step #3 says to insert the required remaining connectors. So what do I connect before that step (besides power), and what do I connect after?

one other thing I forgot to mention in my videos was that one time while I was playing around with reservation mode, I got it all set, locked it, waited 10min, clocked lock 3x to get it started, didn't realize it had acknowledged the start, tried the 3x clicks again, the engine started in the middle of the second 3x clicks and the factory alarm went BONKERS.

Couldn't get it to happen again so I dunno what I did haha

Works now, and is repeatable, that's what counts

so once you've got it powered on (thanks to that black ground) and got the lights stopped at Red and Blue, literally plug in all the rest of the connectors that are left that fit into the little module

Gimme 15min and I'll go take a picture of mine all plugged in

At the risk of asking a really dumb question... Do I need to turn the key to on?

ok so here's what I've got hooked up.....upload_2018-12-18_16-14-14.jpg
    upload_2018-12-18_16-14-38.jpg
    upload_2018-12-18_16-14-49.jpg

and DO NOT cut that little yellow loop.....that's for Automagic transmission H-keys

so you don't need the key in the ignition to get power to the EVO-ONE module.....it'll get power once you plug in that 6-pin connector (the big one on the right in that last pic.....it's tough to push in there too, so make sure you get it all the way)

Then you put the key in to do the 10x presses and all that like the instructions say. That was surprisingly easy enough

so then the only things from the wiring harness that I've got left that are NOT hooked up are the thing (pretty sure it's for the smart phone add-on....I don't have that and mine didn't come with additional instructions for it either)
    upload_2018-12-18_16-23-0.jpg

and then this little button / switch. No idea what it's for.

That’s a relay that triggers your clutch cancel, it’s only on my MT versions. The second one is the “valet button”. Plug it in so you don’t lose it, it’s for programming the smart module if you ever get one, without it, you can’t sync a smart module to your remote starter.

Ok, step one of the programming procedure says to press and hold the programming button: Insert the 6-pin main connector. Do I plug in that connector as I'm holding in the button? I don't get it.

As soon as I connect the ground, all three leds flash simultaneously. But after about 10-15 seconds, it stops. If I hold in the programming button during this flashing or after it stops, it doesn't matter. I never get to where it says the LEDs will alternate colors. Pushing and holding the programming button does nothing for me.

I don't even get to step 3 where it says "Insert the required remaining connectors", let alone step 4 where it says to press and release the button 10 times.

Ah, I think you're doing it backwards......disconnect the module from everything (even the 6-pin white connector...so NO POWER to the little module box)......ground the black wire (not sure if any lights happen)....NOW hold the little button and plug in the white 6-pin connector...the lights should start rotating through the colors.....let go when the Red and Blue are both lit........then plug in the other things like I have them in my pictures above......then literally press the little black button 10 times.....then sit the box somewhere you can see the lights when you do they key next.......then put your key in the ignition and turn the truck on (foot on the brake, clutch all the way in, shift it into neutral and let go so it's idling in neutral).....the lights go bonkers, first Red and Blue together then just the Blue for a while......once it's just the Blue, you're done. Shut off the truck and start testing the Reservation Mode.

edit: I'd do mine again and take a video but I don't want to accidentally undo whatever's been done. If you can get the wires hooked up in the right order (black ground then white 6-pin) it should all flow exactly as the instructions say

Just a thought......If anybody's gonna be in Philly around Christmas, I could help you install it and we can do a from-scratch video that could help the group. Or I'm back in Minneapolis after that.

Ok, I figured it out. You need to have no power to it before you press and hold that button.

Press & hold the button FIRST, then plug in the 6-in power cable.

I thought I didn't have it grounded properly, and that was why the LEDs stopped flashing. Such a simple little wording edit on the very first sentence of the instructions would have saved me trial & error and 30 minutes of trying to find different grounding locations under the dash.

I've been at this for 4 hours now. Really frustrating.

aw bummer, you're definitely right though.....once you plug in that white 6-pin connector, it gets power and comes on

Thanks man. You've been a lot of help for me today. :)

I'm at the home stretch now. Just gotta program, then hope everything works!
