You mean the connection from the N2-supplied clutch cancel wire to the Evo box?

How did you do the clutch-start-cancel wire tap? Was that a clean tap through the yellow wire?

Yup. It was a little tight getting that yellow wire isolated in order to get the tap to wrap around it before closing and clamping down.

damn, I dunno man. I guess next thing you can do is re-check all your connections, even the ones that are on the N2 wiring harness and the OEM truck ones that you swapped out. Maybe something got pulled.

The truck starts normally right? Like with the key as if though you didn't have a remote start?

if the connections all seem legit, even the clutch-start-cancel like @Army504 said, maybe try the programming again on the module. Step 1 says something about unplugging it, holding the button and starting over until you get the Red and Blue lights again. Maybe something got programmed funny when you were having power issues earlier?

Get practicing on your 3x presses.

    Too fast doesn’t work.

    Too slow doesn’t work.

Especially if it already worked. Don’t press too fast that one beep over laps with the other, or too slow that it’s not considered 3x. So try pressing 4, 5, 6 times with rhythm.

If it’s manual, you better be getting reservation mode right.

If it all worked at one point, don’t try fiddling with wiring again unless last resort. If you shoved things in too tight, then I hope no wires were strained like TPMS. All harness connectors are pushed in all the way, notnone wire has been pulled from its crimp and connector. YES, these are things to check later on if the other two I mentioned above aren’t it.

You can also check them automotive blade (1A) fuse on top of the relay (by pulling it out and seeing if the center ~ is still in tact or broken meaning it’s been tripped, which means you shorted something while doing all this fiddling. Do you know how to do this?

Your struggles definitely don’t reflect the majority. I’m sorry you spent much longer than average, but I guess everybody’s perception and translation of instructions are different, as well as technical levels, which is what makes this world and the people in it unique, not in a bad way, but some of the things you struggled to understand, have not once been an issue to anyone before. If you need help we can chat on the phone.

Quick question, should I see any tpms lights at all on my dash at any point?

Miles, they don’t have access to the white wires lol, you were the tester vehicle so you saw it. In fact everything’s is wrapped up well, can’t be pulled from my ends. Only things that can be pulled or arraigned would be the TPMS OEM side, or if it didn’t have enough insulation stripped away before going into the clamp connector, or any wire on any connector END, or the base of the relay (device with thick red, black, yellow, white).

During key take over, yea, get in when car is running, DONT our foot in brake yet, out key into ignition, turn two clicks to ON position, Tao brake once, now you can drive off and TPMS goes away.

It never has worked, and I press lock exactly like this. I never tried more than 3x, so I will try that.

How do I know for sure it's right other than the truck behaving as noted by many members here and in the videos I've seen?

I'm able to turn the key to OFF, pull out the key. Truck makes two clicking noises. TMPS light flashes. I open the door, get out (truck is still running). Shut the door (truck shuts off). I hear doors unlock after 3 seconds, then lock after 15 seconds. I press the lock button on my FOB once.

I've been able to duplicate that every time. Am I missing a step here?

I know how to check a fuse, yes. Where is this relay? Speaking of fuses, the fuse that was connected to the black box (looks like it's for the smart module) fell off accidentally while I was arranging the cables to neaten them. I just pushed it back in. This was after I already programmed, and with the key out of the ignition. Does this matter at all?

All I'm asking is for some installation help after my purchase of an item that you advertise as an easy self-install. I'm not the only one who found your included instructions confusing.

The Youtube videos you linked are practically useless to those of us with a manual H-key, and served only useful to me for how to take the dash apart.

My technical abilities are sufficient, I assure you. I've designed and delivered IT solutions to multi-million dollar firms for many years. One thing you need to learn when delivering solutions to end-users is proper documentation. Documentation skills are very important in my field, and should be in yours too. I suggest you work on it.

And if this installation was difficult for me, I can just imagine how many others have struggled through this install but didn't bother to voice their frustrations to you like I did.

You haven't responded to my PMs or text messages to your phone. And you've only now responded to any of my posts here asking for help.

The videos are 98% accurate for a MT. The only difference is the vampire clamp for the clutch switch, everything else is exactly the same. There is a relay on the harness that drives this functionality, its a black square.

Your IT technical abilities have nothing to do with your abilities in 12v wiring and cars. Drop your ego and take a breath. If you are familiar with IT then you know that getting all uptight and annoyed at a problem isnt going to solve it. Relax, and troubleshoot the issue. Are you positive you wired the TPMS in the correct direction? Are you positive the vampire clamp is fully seated on the clutch cancel wire?

And finally did you watch the video and follow the programing instructions? Did everything work correctly or did you get a different set of lights/no lights?

THIS........I think this is where you're messing it up.

You should shut the door, the engine shuts off, you hear the doors unlock after 3 seconds....THEN YOU HIT LOCK. BOOM. RESERVATION MODE SET......if you wait the full 15sec, the truck locks ITSELF, undoing reservation mode, that way the truck is locked when you walk away, either from you doing it to complete reservation mode or from it undoing reservation mode and locking itself.

Give that a go and report back. Your wiring is probably correct if it's going into reservation mode to begin with.

You're right. I am going to troubleshoot the issue when I have the time. For now, I'm just happy that the truck functions normally after all the wiring work.

TMPS - the cut side that goes to the terminal lines up with the green/white wire. The cut side that goes to the wire bundle lines up with the orange/white wire.

Bingo. He came right out the bat knocking it with negativity, hadn’t tried yet. It’s like cmon are you even listening to what I’m saying? I said it many times, the HKEY video is good for both auto and manual, your extra step IS WELL documented in my guide, with pictures, it’s four steps! Seriously? And no that thing with a fuse in it that “looks like a black box for a smart module”, that’s a relay. I’m sorry you’re struggling so much but your out the box attitude was just plain personal, not a reflection of anyone else. Your approach knocking me and my product off the start, well, I’d rather take it back and refund you your money to be honest, because youre generalizing your personal install issues, when most will install it or they will need help. If they’re “scared to voice” then that means they haven’t installed it and haven’t asked for help? Like cmon really dude. You could’ve called me from the start, and if you did it wasn’t from the start. So yes, set your ego aside and let’s work together to get it going, like the few that may have struggled in the past, and the ones at the same time as you that have already passed you and are up and running. They know I got them going. How you translate things is not how others do it and I really don’t take kindly to being told how to do things. I appreciate suggestions but not the manner you’ve come at me. You’re making it hard to be nice. Speaking negatively without having even tried the install, or asking for any resources or where a video link I’ve posted many times is, well I have to question why you’re TRYING to make this a challenge that it’s not meant to be. So I’ll say this again, if you need help, you can post here to ask what others have seen or are doing that YOU may be doing wrong. Or check your PMs, I’ve sent you my cell number to make it personable for help. I was under the weather all day yesterday so I didn’t get back to alot of people.
