    On the the blue connector that MY customers will never need to use? Never! Waste of tape! Plus there are versions that have it wrapped. Regardless, tuck away and don’t look at. Boom problem solved!

    Some of you guys can barely handle plug n play. Asking anyone to try installing a hoodpin (correctly) and running it through the firewall...well I don't feel like doing the tech support for the collateral damage some folks cause along the way.

    Customer - "I just installed your remote starter but my dash lights aren't on anymore".

    Me - "My system isn't tied to your dash lights at all. You turned them off/bumped them inadvertently while removing your trim". (thanks @jmeitz for that one). Very common.

    ----------

    Customer - "I just installed your remote starter and realized my gas mileage has gone down 1 mpg".

    Me - "Well, a vehicle with a gas engine sitting idle isn't running on electricity"

    ----------

    Customer - "I just installed your remote starter and my alignment is off".

    Me - "Go to a tire shop, and ask them to rotate, align and balance your newly installed remote starter"

    Customer - "really?"

    Me - (Dead Serious tone), "yea, you didn't know?"

    ----------

    Customer - "I just installed your remote starter and I'm really constipated all of a sudden".

    Me - "A mechanic can fix that, but have a doctor checkout the remote starter first"

    You’re wasting tape. That picture is clean enough. Each plug can only go one place. If you’re talking about something else or “bundling them together then taping them together so they are a single line that splits into two connectors at the end, then why? I’m lost because that harness is as taped up as can be without being wasteful.

    My thought; If those two WERE tapped together it would be very stiff and harder to flex it to hide the unit somewhere.

    I thought that too. Also hard to pull in and out one at a time without inadvertently yankin pins out of his Siamese neighbor...dangerous game, but @jmeitz lives life on the edge, unlike me!

    But in all seriousness, what I’m saying is my module already monitors the OEM hood sensor without you having to add, two or wire anything. My PTS won’t start with hood open, or if the hood opens while a remote starter cycle is currently running, it’ll shut off. However, tested your science experiment on another manual last night, your hood results are true. Seems like either an HKEY thing or MT thing.

    Any HKEY Automatic fellas want to test this for us. I don’t want to sample just my vehicle testers, I want a consensus across the board.

    Actually not, as you dont tape all the way up, just in two spots to hold together.

    Just wanted to let you know that I received my "PTS auto" starter last week, I finally had 15 minutes to install it this morning. In less time than it takes at a Starbucks drive thru my remote start was installed, programmed, and working. Thanks
