That’s awesome man! Thanks! And yes there will be big pay day for you no doubt of something comes from it! Where are you located? A Toyota dealership called me twice yesterday, missed the first call and called me as I was listening the voicemail. I answered and spoke to the gentleman. Turns out he’s from the parts department and he ended up buying from me. We’re going to chat about the next step once he evaluates it by putting it on for a customer. They have their own part number but he said Toyota has been dragging their feet in releasing it so they’re moving on without the OEM kit. I’m hoping it never comes out. So for those of you scared of the one TPMS wire or clutch cancel, don’t be, Toyota is doing it with my hardware and charging you five times my price for a 15 minute job. Maybe I should raise my prices  at these prices I’ll be using a walker before I get my lambo...but nope, humble way of life is key than material goods, unless it’s a lambo...lambo trumps humbleness.

I do. But you need my remote starter first to get to the smart module as it’s not stand alone. You can give him my number. Plug n play, 4 wires get tapped, I include the TTAPs, with the female spade already crimped so no crimping for him. Just needs to be comfortable removing the trim and using TTAPS. There is also a software setting he needs to do via my cable to finalize it (not all vehicles require this but it’s stipodmessy step that unfortunately requires the vehicle which I can’t be by. It’s a deposit rental fully refundable when the cable comes back, shipping both ways would be covered. I can speak with him more on price and details but it can be done, it’s easy, and it’s also 3x OEM fob function.

I installed the Remote Start Kit (Smart Key) and Smart Phone Module today on my 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro. Installation is simple and straight forward with the help of the included instructions and videos. Everything connected right up. I did have an issue getting the Smart Phone Module to get to work with the App. I followed the instructions in the troubleshooting video and still was not working. So I called N2 Designs and spoke to Jimmy about the issue I was having. He assured me we can get it to work. He walked me through the steps of programming the Smart Phone Module and the info. I had to enter in the App. As I was doing this he was on the phone with me the whole time, keep in mind I called on a Saturday after 5:00pm, and stayed on the phone with me until everything was up and running as it should be. With his help everything is full functional. Great customer service.

I installed the N2 on my 2019 yesterday. Took maybe 30 mins. Installation is very easy and it works great.
Next I'm going to add the 4g module.

    Thanks!

ok, the audio solutions video says to push start button twice and "goes yellow"
but the written instructions just say to push the button once after youve pushed it twice.
can anyone clarify this portion for me?

I’ve got mine installed, works by remote but can't get it to work via the CL6 app. I originally had rushed and set it to standalone protocol rather then Fortin. I changed it in the settings, I get the connectivity and battery level but I can't get it to start, nor can I get it out of test mode?

Edit : Sent Jimmy a text because well, it's 0950 there and I don't want to be that guy lol hopefully I hear before work at 3pm so I can button up the truck.

You have to program fortin unit once protocol is fortin. Won’t sync with other protocols

Excellent product and customer service. I purchased one for my 2018 Tacoma and a few weeks latter the vehicle was totalled. Then purchased a second one for my 2019 that replaced the 2018. Both worked excellent. Very responsive by email and by phone. Very easy and quick install, less than 30 minutes. Live in Colorado @ 9400 feet and don't have additional garage space for the truck. Sure was nice this morning having the vehicle warmed up when it was 12 degrees outside and more snow had fallen overnight.

We’ll get rid of that don’t worry I got you! Will be in touch tomorrow, I’ve got engineers getting back to me on this. Should be simple rest assured I have two ideas what it is. The other MTs (aside form one other gentleman on here) don’t have this issue so it must be a new parameter the factory flash is overlooking as I did all the same for everyone. This is not something I will let you live with, I wouldn’t want that $hit either! I’ll take care of it.

Very glad that I purchased from @jayrobot and N2 Designs. Was able to snag the remote start plus smart phone module during the Black Friday deal, while there was some hiccups with vendors on Jimmy's end that was out of his control - all in all it was still very much so worth it. I got the product on Saturday, box was neatly packed, plenty of padding for the electronics and documentation. What I learned from the process...

    • Read the directions.
    • Watch the video.
    • Watch the video.
    • Remove plastic interior panels and set aside.
    • Watch the video.
    • Give the harness a solid once over visually to understand exactly what plugs you're using.
    • Watch the video.
    • Install the harness.
    • Watch the video.
    • Program the module.
    • Watch the video.
    • Follow the instructions in said video, don't rush ahead like a 5 year old on Christmas morning.
    • Test the remote start, both with the remote and the cellphone.
    • If all are working properly, tuck wires and reinstall plastics.
Yes, I said watch the video plenty of times...there's a reason. I watched the video once, thought I could do it so I played the video through a I installed...well I got to the point to where I thought she was ready to rip and I was wrong. Due to my rushing ahead and not selecting the proper protocol from the start, I screwed up the install. All my fault, however the great news is... on a Sunday morning, while on the other side of the Country, on his own time, interrupting his weekend and family time, Jimmy had no problem spending about 45 minutes on the phone with me walking me through fixing it in between shooting the shit lol I'd have to say, all in all a great purchase well worth the price!

If I had to pick a negative, the video that I used (one with the blue truck, for the PTS) didn't explain hooking up the CL6 application now, with this being said there is written instructions for you to read, I just didn't follow them very well. In addition the lighting in the video was kind of poor (again, not Jimmy's fault though.) I also would love to see some common trouble shooting issues that he sees written out maybe here, on the forums or on paper documentation shipped with the product. Also, zip ties included would be nice (I know, a small nit picking thing...), personally when I do vehicle electronics I like to use the velcro style cloth type ties, easy to adjust if you are concerned with over tightening and you don't have to worry about it cutting or pinching a wire.

tl;dr - Beyond well worth the purchase, it's plug and play for my 2018 PTS Auto w/ no wire cutting which for me, as a leased vehicle was absolutely huge. The video directions are clear and straight forward. What makes it even more worth the purchase is the level of customer support that is there. It is no bullshit better then any aftermarket modification company I've ever purchased from.

I plan to follow this up in a week or month if I have anything to add with issues, concerns, comments I may have.

Update (01/13/19) - Was able to start my truck, inside my concrete work building with my feet up stuffing my fat face with a cookie...all while my coworkers went outside to start theirs... this is what the good life feels like.

Link up with Jimmy, it wasn't a huge issue it was just a matter of getting the steps right and I'd hate to tell you something wrong and Jimmy get pissed. I'm sure he'll be on tonight, it's about 3pm his time so once he gets on he'll hook up with you. You can text his number he left in your PM's and let him know you're having a similar issue as me.

Sorry you were disappointed in my video. I usually program the fortin and cell unit for my customers so all they have to do is program keyfob. Once again sorry...

Don't apologize man, it wasn't your fault haha I just didn't read the printed instructions where it had the words Protocol : Fortin all over it. I also was rushing a long because it was like 23* outside haha

Your video was very very very helpful, the only things I would do is add a bit more light to the interior which would make seeing things a little easier for the viewer.

I figured it out, not sure what I did the first time, but unplugging the module and then reprogramming fortin worked. Thanks! Totally get the hesitation no worries.

Mods: Is this still a Tacoma?
It was brought to my attention that some one came here (I never saw any of this as the great forum Mods which do an excellent job here on TW) was trying to stir the pot a little. His claim was he found my hardware for $30 cheaper. Cool story, then go buy it. Yup, that’s how I normally think but rarely say it. Instead, I ask them if they know the risks and then take the time to explain it because I actually do care about people and thier hard earned cash, I’m one of them. After I explain it, I never think about it again or lose sleep over something like that. It’s outside of my control, but if I could help one person understand things, I feel better.

I spoke to a few people here who came to my defense (thank you all) and asked to be briefed on what happened,
so I’m going purely off hearsay here. I’d like to say this:

I consider myself a nice guy who can put up with anything prospective or actual customers say or do, I don’t take anything personal. As long as it’s not an attack on me, or product and constructed in a format that is more of a suggestion or comment, or even opinion - even if borderline rude or disrespectful, I won’t get offended. I prefer it to be polite and respectful, but I also understand that’s not always the case. I also prefer that it’s a private message and one on one dialogue, but realize I can’t always control that either. It’s the nature of the business. My aim to to please everyone, and if they aren’t at first, I will change that; haven’t failed once at it. Only one instance so far where someone had strong comments in the past but I took them as constructive critism and made a positive out of it. As you’ve all noticed, I don’t wait for a major consensus before I modify a process or change something when the suggestion is valid. If I ignore the very people that buy from me, I’m ignoring the very people that keep this business successful. Is the customer always right? No. Do I tell them that? Nope. I choose what I need to change or not change but for the most part, it only takes one person’s comment, suggestion or opinion for me to change something of logical and reasonable. Why not, if it will make me, my product and company better and future customers happy? I’d be stupid not to listen.

With that said, there IS one thing I take exception to and won’t tolerate. A person who isn’t a customer, and isn’t prospective or inquisitive coming to MY thread and blasting that they can get things cheaper from other websites, ESPECIALLY 3rd party market places like Amazon, eBay, Walmart etc..I say to those people, you haven’t asked or even looked at the value add I give you versus your petty savings. So why are you so mad? I can charge what I want and you don’t have to buy. I’m already priced competitively. Compare me to valid retailers and resellers and you will see that. I’m not playing in the same field as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Newegg and Crutchfield and so on. They sell more and all different types of products than what I AM SPECIALIZING IN. You haven’t bought from me yet, so I say GO and buy where you want, it’s a free f***in market. Posting here with links to other sources is not only against the TW market place rules, it’s disrespectful, not courteous and unethical. Plain and simple, you’re a jacka$$. Mods here see it and are real quick to address it, if not put you on a timeout, but they clean it up real quick. They read and see it all. I didn’t even know any of this happened is how quick the person came, posts in my defense went up, and then all got deleted and cleaned up. Keep in mind, I can’t delete ANYONES post even though I created it! No one can, only MODS! So this gentleman got pissed and accused ME of deleting it! The audacity. Did it not occur that there is no common sense when you come here and do that in the first place? If I could delete it I would because it’s principle. Newegg can come here and create their own thread while answering other Tacoma questions for forum members and helping thier Tacoma family and contributing. Because you’re stupid for doing something like that in the first place!

Why buy from an Authorized Dealer?

Sometimes it's tempting to price shop something in hopes of getting a deal, we do to! It's how we can pass savings onto you. However, as a consumer, if the price is really low, you have to ask yourself why. In most cases, if it's too god to be true, it usually is! Our vendors set rules on online retail stores from price, to how low discounts can be, when discounts can be applied, how low and even which online retailers are authorized to sell to you! Sellers on market place platforms like Amazon, eBay, Walmart market place (non-authorized individuals/non-authorized retailers) for example are flooded with non-authorized sellers looking for a quick buck.

What does this mean to you?

This means that should you need to contact the factory for technical support, or even a warranty repair/exchange, you may be out of luck. These market place sellers (if non-authorized retail based) don't know how these products operate. They can only sell, exchange or refund products. Most serial numbers are tracked down the pipeline from the moment they leave the factory. And even more so, when it's time to get a request for warranty repair/exchange, your Amazon or eBay proof of purchase (required for ANY warranty repair/exchange) will result in denial of service from the manufacturer. So you must ask yourself, was it really worth losing the amount of "less money" I spent and still NOW have to spend more hard earned cash to purchase the same product, new, to replace my defective "too good to be true priced one?" You’re twice as much into it now, to save that measly $20-$30. If you care about getting quality support and factory backed warranty, buying only from an authorized dealer is the way to go. Half these sellers on these market places are selling all sorts of stuff not related to this category like lawn chairs and cosmetics, like really? And websites like Crutchfield and Newegg, as legit as they are, are on my vendors “customer do not buy from” lists! Further more, 3rd party market place sellers without valid website or toll free numbers can pull thier listings and disappear at any moment, what then? For me to disappear I’d have to shut down my phone lines and website which essentially means I’m closing up shop for good, not happening!

    Protect yourself. Protect your product.

So what do you get when buying from me in terms or added value? You pay for:

    - a product I stand behind and warranty
    - comfort that you’re getting it from a factory direct seller.
    - quick response via text or email, even to my personal cell
    - support day or night, weekday or weekend, and even holidays. I realize that business hours are when people are at work, most people get to these things on the weekends, that’s when they need the support the most!
    - a product that is actually placed on a vehicle and tested before you get it, does Newegg or Crutchfield do that let alone do weekend support or support at all? Nope, they don’t know how to operate these things and will tell you to call the manufacturer.
    - a seller that is very reasonable and will not go by the book or protocol to make things work, make things right and make you happy.

In summary, get out of here with that
bull$hit. You are welcome to buy from me, but you never have to. And I’m not changing a damn thing when it comes to that. You’re not going to convince me to play on anyone else’s field, I play in my own. You can join me, or watch from the bleachers. Do what makes you happy, I’ll
be happy for you regardless. I say that with the utmost sincerity.
