    Unfortunately, no. Haven’t gone back to it yet. Didn’t hear anything from N2D either, will send him a DM in a bit.

    Yeah I thought about messing with it today but my phone barely gets service at my house and I didn’t feel like driving into town to get service to mess with it.

    Sorry guys about the delay in response...if I don't take at least two days off this year today and tomorrow being Christmas Eve/Day, I won't have a wife haha! Yes, don't mess with it, we don't want you to brick it. We'll reach out to you both on Monday...in the mean time, IT MAY have been a server down issue that prevented it from working. I'll find out Monday but please shoot an email to support@n2designsinc.com and reference TW. We'll then be able to get to you quicker because the forums aren't always checked and I don't want to forget you both. I'll be able to step you through it.

    Thanks,
    Jimmy

    Sorry if I’m late to the game, I have a ‘16 MT and have looked at other remote start mods. Some have claimed it can lead to “some computer issues” with a MT. Does this? Any other reviews for manual?

    Are there any wires coming off the box that I can tap into to know that the truck is running with the remote start? I'm looking at a way to automatically turn on seat warmers when it's cold AND running on remote start.

    Having the same issues reported above about cell module communication with app or main remote module. 2020 Taco TRD OffRoad w/smart key with no other electrical mods besides the x3 remote start+cell module.

    Followed directions exactly, here's a break down of what I did:
    ~Waited a few minutes for both green+red led on cell mod to remain solid after swapping 4pin connection into cell harness.
    ~After G+R led, proceeded to synch main mod; hold then plug in black connection, wait for red+blue then let go.
    ~Waited a moment aft 1st R+B led; hold down for wink(less off, then on) with release on reillumination.
    ~turn on truck(slowly, 1-2sec between ignition press).
    ~Wait for R+B less to illuminate (took about 2 to 3 minutes).
    ~waited about an hour. (Waited an hour, can't control. Tried next day, still no app response)

    On the app i created an account, added the sn# of device and truck info, set the protocol to FORTIN as stated in instructions. Getting a battery voltage that does match to truck on vs off state, door lock position, temp, gps location, and even a countdown when I start it with x3 clicks. I CAN NOT control anything with app. I read someone suggested changing protocol to get theirs to work? I can't change mine , so that seemed out.

    Don't want to reset module because based on responses here, it seemed more likely it's an app or server issue than hardware at this time; also don't want to chance breaking the main module. Figure i lay down as much info as I can since the more we all know the more we can learn.

    I'll update with any changes and check back to see what's posted.

    Did you sync the main module by itself first. Without the cell module hooked up at all?

    All good now!
    Dont know what I did that actually solved the problem, but what I did was: Unplugged cell module, checked all other connections and pushed them in, disconnected/reconnected battery, and waited about an hour.

    Then redid the synch process for the cell module:
    This time after the initial synch with R+B leds; I waited about 10 seconds before I did the "wink" thing.
    Then after wink I waited an additional couple seconds to before ignition ON/OFF.
    After all that I waited about 5 minutes just to be sure the R+B leds blinked again after ignition off.

    Once I did all that, again, I made sure the app was closed then reopened it and tried it out. Tada, it worked.

    The big thing I think that helped was waiting the extra time between the led blinks and what not, that or signal finally is good around here today. If it goes down again, ill update.

    ~~~~~~
    PasoSteve, I did synch the main by its self first. I was able to use the remote by its self no problem.
    We have an engineer...there might be an aux signal that can be used with a relay to trigger, we can chat about this when I get sometime. Not a bad concept. I'll PM you.
    I would be interested in this too. Aside from simply leaving the seat warmers on during the cold days, it would be fun to be able to toggle those. I also noticed there are aux settings for windows down/up in the app that dont seem to function at the moment, would be cool to mod or splice something to get that functionality to work as well. If I get a spare module I might dig around and see what outputs three are. (dont want to destroy the module i just got working, haha)
    I’m installing the @N2DesignsInc remote start for the 2016-2019 and I’m at the programming part and it cycled through the Red yellow and blue lights and I was a second too late releasing the button. I’ve unplugged everything to reset but I’m still just getting a red light on the module. Is there a reset button or something that I can get to by piping off the cover? Thanks
    So I need to brag on Jimmy @N2DesignsInc for a moment.
    Long story short (so forgive me in advance):
    Back in March, 2020, I ordered the remote start (no remote smart module) from Runnin4Tacos. Came in, installed, and no issues. However, in the box WAS a smart module. Again, I originally did not order it. I didn't think much of it, and put it back in the box. Back in late October, I reached out to Jimmy for some questions about the smart module that came with my order. After some texting, he was able to confirm it was a valid smart module. So in essence, he wished me "Merry Christmas" since I got one for free (guess my dumb, redneck luck). However, the module couldn't be put into my name because whomever had it previously had it locked up until sometime in mid-December. I reached out Jimmy a few days ago, he got the account cleared, and now have smart module for my truck.
    So my hat's off to him for helping me out on this! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
    Now, comes in my issue (and I'm not laying this Jimmy's feet by any means):
    During putting the putting the smart module on, I messed up on one of the steps, and decided to just start everything over from scratch (remote start included). I put remote start on, and attempted to start the truck w/ the 3 clicks, but it was a no go. I decided to try and go ahead and try smart app module just in case. After following of the videos on Youtube, I was able to get smart module on properly. However, when I tried to fire it up on the smart app, the smart module didn't work. The truck's lights blinked a few times, and that was about it (not much for fireworks). I took the smart module off, and have tried reinstalling just the remote start portion (keyfob) only, and it won't work now.
    I've check all the wires and nothing is out of place or cut. Again, followed the installation instructions, but still no go.
    So if anyone has clues what might be going on, I'd appreciate it.
    (And again, I'm not laying this at Jimmy's feet. I'm sure it's something so small that I'm overlooking something.)
    Reach out to me, we just need to do a reset and re-program together. Don't tamper with it further till then as we DON'T want you to brick a module via a module R4T gave you for free on accident!
    So today I have to give a HUGE "THANK YOU" to Jimmy. I'd say to nominate you as the patron saint for patience, but that is already taken :rofl:. I know an 1.5 hour phone call to fix an issue wasn't how you wanted to spend your Sunday afternoon. However, that is what I like to call great customer service.
    Tech support over the phone is probably one of the world's hardest (and trying) task. I did it for PT work for 10 years at a small tech company here in Mississippi. I can only image your phone calls Jimmy.
    Saying that, my issues mentioned above in a previous post have been resolved.
    Folks, if you are in doubt or unsure of buying this product, please cast those doubts aside and buy this product. Jimmy and his crew sell a top notch product, offer top notch support, and have the patience of a saint (as mentioned above).
    Jimmy, my hat's off to ya! :hattip:
    If you're ever in the north MS/Memphis area, let me know. I'll treat ya to some decent food in the area.
