I picked Chinook and I hate you for living somewhere conducive to having that awesome of a dog. Always wanted a husky or malamute, but it would be cruel to have one here.

I voted other. We have two Malamutes, one named Mya and the other is Tundra. Couldn't talk the wife into Tacoma, but I will settle for Tundra. Tundra is 95lbs so he barely fits in the back seat of the Taco. I need to get a shell so we can throw the two of them in the back. I would put them back there without a shell but my wife is a Vet Tech, which is like a nurse for animals and is very over protective!

Agreed, I love mals & huskies. They amazing work dogs for sure.

Lots of good choices! I actually have a few of those on a side list I've got goin' on.... this choosing a name thing is HARD:cool::p

Yeah I know, I've come to the conclusion that nothing sounds like Alan and hopefully he's young enough that I can change it to whatever I want. lol

You would think that, but I'm getting this one from Georgia and when you look at the breeders listings on the Alaskan Malamute Club of America directory there's a butt load of breeders in LA, TX, and a few other warm states... I hope they bring them in where it's air conditioned on scorching days.

The pic where he's on the couch was taken sunday morning, 9weeks of age, he looks huge already, much bigger than my other ones at that age. Not exactly sure where I'm gonna be able to fit him in the taco when he's fully grown :notsure:

Since I've been married, our animals are typically named after some sort of adult beverage. Had cats named Guinness and Mackeson. Had a hamster named Turbodog. Dog named Samichlaus. Ferrets named Cabo, Wabo, and Rita.

Mylene wasn't too fond of Alabaster or Alagonquin.
