    congratulations on the baby boy, first off! good you got that out of the way with. i had to wait until my second child (and my third too) before i got a boy.

    dane i think is a great first name, very strong, independent, intelligent sounding. i like it.

    we had a similar issue with a family name - in our case, it was "haritan," on my wife's side - when my second son was born. the only reason i was able to agree to it as a first name was because we will call him "harry" for short. sort of a compromise.
