I'm trying to determine the source of this front end clunk. It only happens over bumps at low speed. You can hear it softly at 0:01 and then it clunks/clicks twice at 0:05

It sounds like a click in the video, but in person it's more of a clunk. It definitely feels suspension related. I have 5100 and OME 881.

I know this is difficult to diagnose in this manner, but hoping maybe someone has dealt with it before. Thanks!

*video is from this past weekend. Some clips of my gf driving our Tacoma. Music by Purling Hiss.

I installed the Bilstein 5100 and OME 881 over the Summer and everything was done properly, but I did not replace the top hats/plates or the top bushing stack. California truck, no rust, and it all looked pretty clean so I reused them.

The music in your video is so loud that it is difficult for me to hear any "clicking", so I may be wrong on this:

From what I can hear, it sounds like something in the steering column. I get pretty much the same knocking when I'm off road, going maybe 2-3 mph, and the suspension is moving a lot when I'm turning the wheel fairly sharply. That noise began a couple years ago but has since then (like yesterday) become a helluva lot worse.

I think it is from the gizmo that joins two parts of the steering shaft and that some folks spot-weld together to silence the noise.

Yeah sorry I didn't make the video with intentions of using it to diagnose. I made the video then realized afterwards that I can hear the clanking noise that is really pissing me off, so I thought I'd ask for help.

I reused the stock top bushings when I installed the shocks, so I'm wondering if that's it. Those hard 17 year-old bushings may not be cushioning things as they once did. It's cheap to replace them, so I'm going to try that. I just didn't have them when I did the shocks and didn't want to wait.
