I thought so too. But isn't that why the 20's can't jumper into temp check for the trans?

Interesting. I had not heard that. Trying not to get on a gizmo creep rant, but after that one guy was SOL after breaking the new 2020 shark fin antenna, I think it is getting a bit too much? Of course, the horde is still asking for more fluff to be baked in.

At least it seems that the OP and his friend both have 2019s.

    Sadly.

o_O We just ordered a connected bed . . . Mainly appeasing my wife. She did say on the way to the store that still her best sleep was on her college mattress that was probably old enough to get carbon dated.

I think the only upside in the automotive world is that EVs are somewhat simpler. Of course, I am looking forward to the day when conventional brakes and 12v systems can be kicked to the curb along with the true offroad models that are as simple as the Bollingers.

Annnnd, crap! The Bollinger MSRP has doubled since I last looked / heard about it.

It was in a recovery video I saw... guy got his brand new truck stuck as fuck. The guys that went to recover him got it out. After they got him free, they tried to drive it up the sand dune to get out completely. It bogged down toward the top, cut power. 3 or 4 attempts were made all in lower gears as any normal person would choose. The truck just would make it. They put it in 3rd and it just about jumped the truck.

You might be referring to Matt's off-road recovery on YouTube. The issue was they weren't shutting off the traction control not any specific gear they were using.

It is definitely not driver error,I drove it last night and any slight angle or flex the brakes stop you dead.

Turns out he took his other truck to work today so I ran over and tried resetting the VSC as described from previous posts and can confirm it does not work on this particular 2019.

yup. Even if there is a better way technically. That was the solution to that problem.

It sounds like it is a consistent problem that is easy to replicate, so the dealer should be the next stop?

One would think, however he nor I has been there when the "tech" took it. So I think that might be the next plan of action.
