Just my thoughts new brakes done correct are always much better then your old worn out brakes that all 4 wheels are metal to metal contact .

Ebay or Amazon, I cant remember it's been like 3 or 4 years, it was $300 and some change plus whatever the brake lines cost.

One of those things are those brakes stocked local ??

In this day so much is boxed wrong or the wrong part # is on the website .

Can your Truck sit a few days waiting for parts ??

I just have bad luck unless I can call and the parts will be there the next day to replace the miss shipped ones .

I have been having this happen from almost all my vendors

Well, for a update guys I decided to go with LCE performance kit. Won’t be wheeling much anymore in this rig so the small hardline isn’t a issue. Thanks for all the suggestions and input.

It was pretty good. Definitely cool historically, and a nice thing to do as part of the BDR. Definitely worth reading the post about it, if you haven't already... https://adventuretaco.com/idbdr-pt-8-driving-the-lolo-motorway/

Depends. If you are changing the calipers to a direct replacement caliper - that is, you're getting rid of your OEM Tacoma calipers and installing some aftermarket Tacoma calipers - that should be fine without replacing your rotors. But if you're upgrading to 13WL calipes, you'll need new rotors as well.

You should definitely replace your pads if you're changing your calipers. But, the pads aren't really the expensive bit anyway.

I started reading through a few of your posts, but haven’t read all of them. Looks like it was a fun trip! Highway 12 between lolo hot springs and kooskia is my favorite section of pavement. Followed closely by needles highway in SD.

Just a heads up. The mounting location for the soft lines are different in the 3rd gen 4runners than the 1st gen taco.

    Soft line for the 4runner

1st gen location is near the frame and will require a longer soft line. 199A12C8-C106-48A3-A5EA-F842E4C5EE3C.jpg

^^ This. I have been through many sets of napa premium brand rotors and pads. Unless your running heavy weight just go with Napa replacements.

I have also used 2 sets of powerstop slotted and drilled rotor and pads on my lifted 1997 with 33s and armor and a heavy drawer system and a full time RTT without any issues. still locks up the tire just fine..just with a little more pedal effort than stock
