Can't find the info, wondering if anyone knows the difference? NAPA guy said Maxdrive are discontinued and the Premium replaces them. Anyone know if this is true?

I am in the middle of tearing apart the front end and found that both CV axles that NAPA shipped to me are dented and unusable.

NAPA guy said the MAxdrive number I gave him doesn't even exist and that Maxdrive isn't made anymore, while I am looking at the part number on my boxes and online.

No problem going with Premium, but don't want to get an inferior product (they are cheaper)?

    Thanks

I don't know anything about them replacing premium and max drive and all that, but it's been talked about on here over the last couple years how Napa CV axles aren't the same quality they used to be. I dunno any details behind that, just what I've read on here.

Last time I bought a Napa axle was about a year ago and it was nicer than most other parts store axles I bought, in that the shape of the housings at the ends matches the OEM Toyota style. Makes them easier to install/remove.

They do offer a lifetime warranty still so that's good. If you don't offroad heavily I'm sure they are more than adequate for daily driving needs. If you need something that can stand up to off-road abuse, lifted suspension, etc. I would get OEM axles, rebuilt OEM or CVJ brand ones
