    Just found this thread.
As far as the cup guys running the under card race, I understand that you need the big boys in the race. I know one race team a few years back only got sponsored 10 races because ryan newman and kasey kahne agreed to run the car 3 races each. The other 4 went to an up and comer.

Anyhow, I always thought it would be cool to have them qualifly like they do now, but line up all the nationwide points participants first, then non-points drivers. I'm not saying cup guys still won't win, but they would have to start in the back so atleast I don't have to watch a cup driver lead every lap.

I can understand they want the "SHOT" but man suff like this and RC heli's flying around is a little to much. Very lucky the trolly didn't come down on the track.
They really need to get there ducks in a row cause they hurt fans for the second time this year. NOT GOOD....

from what I've read about the camera failure, is that this in an isolated event. And the camera failed the way it was designed to.

I totally get you and all, but what happens is every year the demand for better shots and more angles/views by the corporate sponsors and fans means that they have to try innovative things. I like the idea of a camera that can travel at over 90MPH and still shoot unblurred sports action. New tech will have it's problems. Remember about 6 or 7 years ago I think it was when GoodYear tried some new rubber compounds and cars were getting blow outs and crashing? Same thing really. It's something new that is helping to try and drive more money into the sport. Just this time fans were hurt. It happens all the time in other sports as well. I always read at least once a year where fans get injured during monster truck shows and all. It's kinda part of the assumed danger. You have to give it to Nascar though, they do have an impressive medical staff always on hand, and they do a good job of taking care of those who do get injured. It sucks, but I still think they handle things well.

Yes it is isolated however, I don't think they thought of this scenario.

Oh I agree they handled it very well.
And I agree it's part of the "Risk" I've been hurt a few times at the track.
And I agree on trying to amp up the sport.
I remember those tires. They were horrible.
I just hope the "assumed risk" doesn't escalate.

You have to give the Lowe's team some respect and credit. Jimmy is a damn good driver and Chad Knaus is definitely the best crew chief in NASCAR.

My wife is a die hard Jimmy Johnson fan. Both of use went to the Dover race two weeks ago and she completely shit herself when Jimmy went past Juan Pablo at the restart. I have never heard a woman say "PHUCK" so many times on the ride back home.

You've got to give Kyle some credit. He hasn't shot his mouth off this year so far and he hasn't purposely wrecked anyone out. He has very much matured since he has gotten married....

i'll give both the Busch brothers credit for walking a very fine line the past couple seasons. a line so fine, I didn't think either one could walk. that being said, I still don't care for them!

I agree 100%. He is a damn good driver and has a good crew chief and pit crew. He wins because of this. Not because of cheating or being a dirty driver.

    I think I am going to puke...lol

The biggest thing I have always hated about Kyle is his attitude. Nothing is ever his fault, every wreck he is involved in was someone ELSE'S fault, never his, and he has been a DICK to his fans in person before.

I was at the Talladega race in May this year and I am not joking, when it came over the airwaves that Kyle actually admitted that a wreck was his fault there were SEVERAL people in the stand who all mentioned that Hell had just froze over evidently. I'm not making this up, people were actually SHOCKED.

Kyle getting a steady piece of ass has calmed him down quite a bit. Even when he blows and engine, he just starts walking and keeps his mouth shut.

A lot of thanks has to go to Joe Gibbs also for the attitude change and the fact he is starting to take responsibility for his actions...

It will take more than that to have me respect that man ever. The way I personally saw him treat a little kid asking him for his autograph one time in Daytona nailed the lid shut on his coffin.
