The 10 car improved four spots because at least four cars ahead did not change their tires. The 40 car for example was leading the race at restart and did not finish in the top 20. I appreciate you sticking by the 10 car but please enough is enough. That car needs a true driver !

Yea those cars were flirting with the limits of what tire pressures goodyear recommended (teams running it too low), couple that with nascar allowing more camber (2 degrees previously to now 3.5 degrees) and you get double digit blown tires. All teams new this, but what teams pushed the limit showed when they blew tires with 25 or more laps on them. Can't get mad though just trying to get that speed!

Edit: also combine 800lbs less downforce and faster speeds created greater load on tire

I could say the same to you. Enough is enough about the complaints. I simply however am a firm believer that she will come into her own. A lot of other drivers out there were talked about in the same way, saying that they would never make it, and they eventually proved themselves. Back in the dale a lot of people thought Jeff Gordon didn't have the skill, and that he would never amount to anything. Now look at him. She improved her position, if you actually watched, by out driving 4 other cars. It had nothing to do with changing of tires or not. It was in TWO laps. If you don't like her, fine, I can't make you. Hell I hate Kyle Busch with a passion like no other, but I still am sportsman enough and man enough to accept him. Get over yourself.

Seriously, dude pulls for Danica, get over it, the trolling is getting annoying. Is there really nothing else to talk about? Like how good of a race it was seeing 3 and 4 wide, or the tire issues?

The joke of this thread isn't that he pulls for Danica, it's the lack of meaningful discussion and knowledge of the sport.

I agree that this was a really good race! I like seeing 4 and 5 wide at times. I like almost every type of track they have. I love the superspeedways, and I love the short tracks. The cookie-cutter tracks I feel tend to be boring, and I like that they throw a couple of road-courses in there each year.

What I couldn't help but shake my head on was that Nascar AND Goodyear told the teams that the tires need to be run at a specific pressure, but none of the teams wanted to listen. Dale Jr was going really strong until he had the tire go flat and hit the wall. Once you knock that steering out, you never can seem to get it back in. I feel bad for the 4 or 5 cars that went flat on the last lap before the caution (That's including Johnson in the group) I mean WTF crew chiefs? You KNEW that there were tire issues. You KNEW that after the last expected pit stop that the drivers would be pushing harder. Why in the HELL do you put on tires with lower pressure than recommended to get grip, if they are going to wear out? I dunno. Just seemed like they made a bad call there.

The teams knew damn well what the problem was, like you said, surprising to see which ones pushed it. It did bite them in the ass though.

I was pissed on that last caution, I had $50 on Jeff Gordon winning. Would've put me 4/5 on the year! Never started that hot before

I used to play in a fantasy league at my old dealership. Never won the big $$$ but had a lot of fun, and came in 2nd for the year once.

This year I'm playing with the roto "experts" fantasy league, I'm leading after 5 races by a lot. I know a little about nascar, but I'm far from an expert.

    WRONG.....she can drive BUT NASCAR is a different especially CUP;
IT can make or break a driver...

Should she be out there ???? Her owner/sponsors think so ...until that changes; "keep your shorts on "......

How many "homes" has McMurray had ?? Musgrave speaks his mind at Roush,gone..Mark Martin is used by how many teams since slowing down....Kenseth now drives a Yota and Harvick drives for who ?????

The "old days" are gone and young Mr.France keeps "spinning his family legacy" into a "MONEY PIT"......who knows what a $$$$$$$$$ sponsor could "want" sitting in a car next..

Be GLAD that some sort of experience is "needed" to actually sit in any division for NOW....;)

Kevin, you really need to relax. The girl has proven that she can drive. However she still has to work on consistency. Yes, I agree that there is a lot of marketing involved, but if she didn't have any skill at all, then she wouldn't be behind the wheel. There are a dozen other drivers out there that finish worse than her every week. I don't hear you complaining about them. You are just pissed because she is a girl in a sport that is predominantly male. I bet you are one of those who thinks a woman shouldn't play pro football either.

I have to laugh at the love is blind bit. It has nothing to do with that. I have watched her when she was in open wheel. Has nothing to do with "love" or anything. I just believe she has talent, and will soon show it in Cup. Plenty of other drivers doing worse than her that is for sure. You think you can do better? Then let's see you jump into a car and drive. See, I have the ability to talk about this because I HAVE been behind the wheel. I HAVE raced, and know what it takes. I recognize her talent. No, she doesn't have the raw, natural talent of some other drivers, but she will come into her own. She is here to stay. Accept it. Hell, I know for a fact that Kyle Busch is a self-centered PRICK who disrespects his young fans, but I accept that he is here, and will stay, even though he doesn't treat his fans worth a damn. (much less any other drivers)

I follow this thread just for the Danica talk.

She's only in Sprint because she's a pretty face and NASCAR desperately needed the ratings.

Bama thinks she's can drive. However, the King himself doesn't. I guess he doens't have any room to talk since he's never been behind the wheel.

Kyle Busch is a prick, and I hate him. But he can drive.

I agree right there. My sister HATED Tony for the longest time. Now she likes him ok. You know, I have a lot of respect for Petty, but face it, he is from a driving era that has been gone from Nascar for a long time. Sadly enough. But he is also, and always has been, a sexist. Just like his son. And for you, Mr Walden, how about taking into account ALL of what Richard said. He did say she couldn't drive a short time ago. But he ALSO said at the beginning of the Daytona 500 this year that Danica had a really good shot at winning it. I like how you conveniently leave out what doesn't support your opinion. lol.

Anyone has a shot at Daytona/Talladega. Even Michael waltrip has won at Daytona.

I'm still in the camp of "she only has a chance if the other drivers don't show up".
