Definitely congrats to Jeff. He had the car to pull it off for sure, and he hs a great driver! He is doing really well.

I want to know what caused Danica's broken rear end. At first they were saying a shaft broke, but after the race they are saying a broke gear. I would think a broke gear she would have NO power to the wheels, but she had all of the power to the right, so I am still thinking a broke axle shaft. So my question is this: From watching the replay it looked like she was accelerating before the jack dropped. If that was the case, then yeah, you are gonna snap an axle shaft. So what I want to know is if SHE screwed up and hit the gas too soon, or her crew chief screwed up yet again and told her to go before the jack was down. Lord knows I have seen most every driver break an axle at some point. So much power to the rear, it isn't difficult to do.

She broke the rear axle, you're right, she anticipated the jack drop and spun the tires as the jack dropped the weight on the rear and it snapped. She was running well, maybe 13th? When that happened.

See that is what I am curious about. There has been some word that the crew chief had said "GO! GO! GO!" before the jack dropped. If that is the case it was his fault. If she jumped the gun, it was hers. So I am still waiting. The final word on the damage was not a broke driveshaft, but the carrier/gear broke (I am assuming the spider gear broke since she still had power to the right side) because they were only 28 laps down when she did get back on the track. They said that they "swapped out the 3rd member" to get her back on track, so it couldn't have been the axle shaft. Sucks because she was running pretty consistent today, staying in the 14-16 position all day. Sure she wasn't gaining spots, but she wasn't losing them either, and that I think is a positive look for her team. I mean obviously she has to keep building, and she has when you compare to last season. I do think that with all the mistakes he has made though that she needs a new crew chief. He has made some REALLY dumb calls this year. I still think she will get there. I think we will see a win from her next year at some point.

I love how these are vs Krashalowski, just more reasons I don't like him.
