I wish I could have watched it all. Sounds like a race to have seen! Unfortunately I was on the road since about lap 60 and didn't make it home until well after it was over. couldn't even find it on the dang radio! Congrats Jr!

Hopefully Stewert will give up racing. He has always had a bad attitude.

If NASCAR had any common sense, they would sit Stewart indefinitely out of respect for the family of Kevin Ward Jr.

Tony was never racing today, They were scrambling to get Regan to come and race the 14. Media made it seem like tony was just like whatever I'm racing, when in fact he is having a pretty difficult time with what happened last night.

Those comments would fit right in over on Facebook and twitter with the rest of everyone who makes accusations with little to no facts behind what is really happening.

Social media is the best minutes after a tragic event and the worst hours after a tragic event.

Drivers in all series need to stay in their car unless it is on fire. Too many close calls have happened, and now a fatality. They need to make it clear that it is unacceptable for anyone to get out on the track. I know Tony is guilty the same thing, but it needs to stop. Suspend them, fine them, whatever it takes to keep them in the cars and safe.

Or... drivers could stop threatening others with their 4000 lbs rolling weapon. This wasn't a complete "accident", Stewart could have just driven past and nothing would've happened. Should Ward have run onto the track? Probably not. But drivers have done it since the dawn of racing and NOT been run over (see: Nationwide race yesterday, JJ Yeley).

I claim to be no expert, and I was not there last night. But this was a terrible tragedy that could've been avoided had all involved kept their cool a little better.

Yes, Keep cool in your car until the safety crew comes for you or be suspended and fined. Better safe and angry than dead and not angry.

But that's how accidents typically happen, both drivers made mistakes that could've been avoided. Ward almost got run over by the first car that passed, and wearing all black at night didn't help with visibility, he shouldn't have ran on the track and Stewart shouldn't have done what he did, hindsight is always 20/20. Terrible that it happened, and the fact that so many are pointing fingers instead of sending condolences and setting up some type of fund for wards family is crazy.
