Couldn't be happier that the rest of the chase will be without johnson.

This was where I was yesterday for the race:

Yeah, I screwed up at the end. lol.

Funny thing, I was at the driver Q&A area yesterday and they had the LEGEND Bobby Allison there for a while talking to him. He is actually FOR the new format. He said it forces more drivers to keep trying hard to win, rather than get a nice points lead and cruise to a victory. It was pretty awesome to listen to him. He even announced that within a few years we are going to see another Allison driver on the track!

The race was very interesting to say the least. Just when you thought it was going to get boring and watch them go round and round single file, things would break up and it would get a little wild. I haven't seen 4 wide racing THAT much at Talladega in years! And yes, I was quite excited to watch Danica. She would get up to the front, then shuffle back, then up towards the front, and shuffle back again. Just like you expect to see when you have a good car, and a good driver. Say whatever you want, she proved that she can handle the superspeedways well. She just needs to get that skill in the short tracks built up more. I still hold that she will have a victory by this time next season.

What pissed me off to no end was that caution. I knew that they all needed to pit for fuel, and I loved that when the pits were done, she even came out first, but that dang group of 4 that didn't pit got her into a bad restart spot, and even I admit she doesn't always restart well. She still was able to get herself near the front, but what TOTALLY confused me was that I was listening to the scanner, and when she was holding strong again in 3rd her STUPID crew chief told her to go high! I was like WTF??? The high line has been slow ALL DAY! But she goes high, and next thing you know, back in 20th again. I was so pissed.

One thing that I really did like was that when Danica took the lead for the first time, and pulled the entire first lap in the lead, no bullshit, the entire CROWD was cheering for her! I mean guys and girl around me wearing Dale Jr stuff, Jimmie stuff, Kurt, Kyle, it didn't matter WHAT gear they were wearing, the ENTIRE crowd cheered for her. Not as loud as when Dale Jr got into the lead, but louder than any other driver taking the lead yesterday. I think this goes to show that more people are accepting of her, and that she can drive. It was an awesome race.

You all might have even saw me and not known it! If you watched driver intros I was at the bottom of the steps on the left side, right by the platform.

Not my video, but I was close to this guy.

Too bad I didn't have parents with money to fund a racing career for me, and send me all across the world to hone my craft. Alas, it's a bit late in the game for me to even try to get into professional racing.

Not a knock necessarily on you, because I hear the "you couldn't do any better" argument quite often from Danica supporters. Using that logic, there would be no sportscasters anywhere. Because, hell, why should they be allowed to critique? They couldn't do any better.

    Get ya one!

She isn't the only driver who's family supported her dream to race and helped her see her dream. Haters will be haters, and you can say all you want, but you can't deny that Danica has gotten better and better, and she STILL beats a lot of other drivers out there.

Danica might beat alot of other drivers but I think the equipment she's running has alot to do with it and not necessarily talent. A lot of start and parks have talented drivers but sub par equipment.
