Love that you don t need to wait on a commercial break to see the winning driver get out in victory lane on NBC!

I like the fact that the cars looked more like...stock cars...with the smaller spoiler and splitter.

Solid finishes through Richmond and he'll be fine! A win at Watkins would be sweet too!

Hate I missed this one. I was looking forward to the new package. I feel like Kentucky is Kyle's track. IIRC, he flat out dominates here, each year.

What? That race had a crazy ending! top 4 ran out of fuel on the last two laps! The actual racing was boring though. Ugh, hope they can find a aero package that doesn't decide a race on restarts.

Thought it was a great race especially for Pocono (don't even usually bother watching either one).

The top cars should have been able to get after it.... Not hold back and then run out.... Interesting to me is balls to the wall drive the tires off.... Not a guy from about 20secsback winning.

But they could've ran balls to the wall all they wanted, no one was going to catch the car in front of them regardless. Drivers playing with the throttle and running each other hard to make each other run out of fuel or just completely conserving fuel in the last 7-8 laps combined with the top 4 running out not knowing who was next made for a way more entertaining race than watching them "go hard" and finish in 1-5 second increments within each other imo.

Mileage races are my favorite. They require strategy rather than driving 'til the wheels fall off, and communication between brains, pens, calculators, crew chiefs & drivers, as well as confidence in the entire team to have gotten enough fuel in the car, for the driver to control his drive and pace himself rather than swing for the fences.

Coincidentally, I won an online mileage race at Michigan last night by pitting off-cycle, backing off, losing the draft and pacing myself for the last twelve laps of the race. I realized by the first green cycle that my setup wasn't nearly fast enough to win and my only chance was to try an alternate strategy.

My favorite race from the last decade was Kyle Busch versus Brad Keselowski versus Marcos Ambrose at Watkins Glen in 2012. It was a balls to the wall three-way* AND a fuel mileage race. 2011 was very similar, minus the oil all over the track. After that finish, I figured they should just oil down the track for the last three laps at every race

That's how racing should be. Bouncing off of each other and not pissing and moaning about it.
