I was there. Kenseth 100% wrecked Joey on purpose.

To each there own, but of you watch the clip when they go into the turn, the 22 cuts off the 20, you can see the 20 slide in the direction of the turn (left) and as Kenseth tries to counter the hit from Logano, his car (already quite magled will not turn) and Logano was already in him and he had no where to go, because Joey tried to pass him in a turn, and he did not clear him. Listen to the 22's in car radio , Logano's spotter tell him not to move down because Kensethis running there. But what did Joey do, he didn;t lsuten and cut into Kenseth's lane.

This poll (pointless I know) closely represents the crowd reaction at yesterday's race.

24 or 88. 41 has an outside chance. 48 is suddenly junk. 22 will race clean but hard. 20 will be real clean. I have a feeling Daniel Suarez or Erik Jones will behind the wheel.

What does Kenseth care if he gets parked? He's out and possibly because of the 22. We'll never know because Joey took him out.

Most definitely! I agree with Kyle Busch in saying that it "depends" on the driver to see what call gets made. Harvick should have atleast been warned about the Talladega incident at the very least. The man was afraid he would not advance, so he caused the cluster f*** of a wreck to save himself from elimination. 88 had that race, hate it ended on the new fluke GWC ruling.

And had 88 won Dega, he had a very solid 4th place finish yesterday. Just sucks how that panned out for him, I know the 88 had more wins last year but, he has ran more consistent (top 5/10's this year), he just had a real crap 2nd round of the chase.

So you know NASCAR doesn't want to actually enforce rules. They hate actually doing something. We'll probably see the same as before: a slap on the wrist for Kenseth. $100,000 fine, 25 owner/driver points, probation through the end of the year. Gibbs will "handle punishment internally" and sit him out 1, MAYBE 2 races at most.

I agree, but can't punish the 20, without punishing the 4 or the 22 also from prior weeks. This shouldn't be a pick and choose approach it needs to be all or none on penalties/fines.

Due to the appeals process for fines and penalties, the only way Kenseth sits out is if Gibbs parks him, which he did with Kyle Busch a few years ago. The driver can stay in the car until after the appeals hearing. I imagine Gibbs will accept NASCAR's penalties, not appeal and park Matt for Kansas.

Gibbs did not look very happy when I saw him after the wreck.
