Nascar 2015 season

My bad @ckeene9, we got to the track later than I wanted so That's why I didn't get in touch with you; and trying to keep a group of 8 people on a schedule is difficult when you're drinking!

 

No worries! Getting in to the track was a shit show (almost like they've never done this before ). We went straight to the infield anyways as well.

 

Well hopefully we see a Kenseth suspension today. I'm all for retaliation, but not to a championship contender in the lead when your 10 laps down and a non chase contender. Plus it helps his gibbs team mates in the chase. I doubt we will see a logano retaliation until logano is for sure out of the chase.

 

Hopefully there will be NO penalty. Was none for logano or harvick this year, so its fair to all drivers to leave it alone.

 

Racing hard and racing dumb, as those two incidences were, were simply racing deals. What happened Sunday was assault, Bowman Gray style.

 

Eh, way I see it, logano and Kenseth at Kansas:

Kenseth blocked logano hard, logano got into the wall a little bit, closing laps, going for the win, logano turned him. That's ok, that's NASCAR.

Talladega: no real proof that Harvick caused the accident, and I understand that, but my personal opinion is he did. Can't fine him for anything there.

Martinsville:
Kenseth no longer in chase, logano dominating once again and going for a championship, Kenseth still butt hurt and 10 laps down takes out logano, not in a turn him and let off the gas kind of wreck, but pile drove him into the wall. That's why he will be suspended. All of the other situations are not comparable.

Patrick and Gilliland:
Could care less, not affecting outcome of chase as no others involved, between them.

 

Bingo. Astute and right on the money. Seeing as how the delayed the announcement from the usual 10am makes me think NASCAR is parking Kenseth rather than let Coach Gibbs handle discipline in house. Now they're giving Gibbs time to deal with angry conference calls from sponsors before they make the announcement public. Now for the rest of the season speculation: who gets the call to fill the seat, Jones or Suarez?

 

Jones would be a better choice but NASCAR needs to stop using wrecks and fights in their promos if they are actually going to do something about it. NASCAR gon NASCAR though.

 

For me, the best thing NASCAR can do is admit that this happened because they let it get to this point. Acknowledge that first then say it's not going to be tolerated anymore and do whatever to Kenseth. Without the acknowledgment, it's just an empty suspension/fine or whatever. I think the fans deserve to hear the real reason stuff like this happens.

You just can't punish kenseth whether he deserves it or not. It's not fair to the others. And they damn sure shudnt give anyone. A points boost (ie put logano in because of it). Just like I read @Bsheriff11 say don't worry about Danica and gillanad.... Well that was intentional. To be fair its punish all or none. Whether Kenseth deserves it, it wouldn't be fair to punish ONLY him.

 

@MadDaddy did you see how many time hornish spun out? Can you get Bubba Wallace in that car to be teammates with Almirola for me?

 

rest assured, Danica gets a penalty today too, though significant, it'll be less than Matt's.

 

You can't have an all or none approach because each incident that's occurred has all been different, and will get a penalty based on what the actions were. That's the way it's always been. Danica will def. get a penalty, drivers have been penalized for actions like that forever, kenseth's will be a lot more harsh however because his actions were more detrimental.

 

Either way I'm not happy until Morgan Shepard's drivers license is taken away.

 

But harvick gets nothing. And that was very dangerous....

 

There you have it, 2 race suspension for Kenseth. 25 points and $50k for Patrick.

Gibbs will appeal, Jones gets the 20

 

Appeal lets Matt race Texas. No doubt appeal is denied ending his season two races from the end.
