Dumb joke. Moot point. It's a plate track. It's a total crapshoot. You could also say "lol, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte and Brad Keselowski got beat by a girl! Turn in your man cards, dudes!" Danica finished higher than all these dudes who have a combined 9 championships. 18th place isn't anything to write home about and this meme is idiotic considering the difference in finishing position was only three spots. That's like .009 seconds difference at a plate track. I'm not a Danica fan, this is just a really dumb joke.

David Ragan announced to be Kyle Busch's replacement with Bobby Labonte probably taking his place in the #34. Reagan Smith will be in the #41 for Hass Racing.

This crap keeps ticking me off more and more. I've never truly been a fan or rooted for Kurt. I do think he earned respect back after falling to the bottom a few years ago and came back well. That being said, NASCAR couldn't have mishandled this situation any worse. According to the new rule you have to report charges within 72 hours. That's funny, Kurt still has yet to be charged with a single crime. No evidence or witnesses have surfaced. A judge simply ruled that Driscoll's story was more believable than his.

Meanwhile, if anyone remembers, late in 2013 Travis Kvapil was arrested, charged, and pled guilty to domestic assault charges against his wife. He pulled her by her hair throughout the house among other things if I remember correctly. He wasn't suspended by NASCAR. So to me this smells like a witch hunt against Kurt. Frickin ridiculous.

I remember that incident. Coincidentally, he was cosponsored by a domestic violence awareness group for the race (which he sat out, and they removed their sponsorship). The Kurt deal was a culmination of Kurt's previous bad publicity for NASCAR and the potential for more bad publicity in the wake of the NFL's handling of Ray Rice's domestic issue. NASCAR likes to remind the drivers "you need us more than we need you." They are sitting on terrible attendance and ratings figures AND needing a new title sponsor next year. They have to put themselves up as a with-it organization to garner positive attention. This was very much a witch hunt. Kurt has been a thorn in their side since his drunk-driving arrest that was the last straw with Jack Roush.

I do think NASCAR jumped the gun on this because of what happened to the NFL from their lack of action. But they overreacted on this one. This isn't going to bring nearly as much media attention and outcry as the Ray Rice situation simply because it's NASCAR.

I agree completely, men who hit women should be beaten then beaten again. However, you're implying Kurt did it. There's been zero evidence, no witnesses, no nothing. A woman simply cried "He hit me! I'm taking him to court for a restraining order". Then Kurt said, "well she's a trained CIA assassin". The judge said, "I believe her more than you, she wins the order".

That's it, nothing else. So why should he be condemned for something he's not even been charged for let alone had any evidence surface he did do it. Sure, he is a hot head. But that doesn't make him a woman beater automatically just because a woman cries it.

Daytona Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - NASCAR placed Sprint Cup Series driver Kurt Busch on indefinite suspension Friday after a Delaware family court commissioner concluded that Busch "committed an act of domestic violence" against his ex-girlfriend Patricia Driscoll.
Busch, the driver of the No. 41 Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing and 2004 champion in NASCAR's premier series, was scheduled to start 24th in Sunday's Daytona 500.
According to a decision released by Kent County (Del.) Family Court Commissioner David Jones, the court found by a "preponderance of the evidence" that Busch committed an act of domestic violence against Driscoll by "manually strangling her by placing his left hand on her throat, while placing his right hand on her chin and face and smashing her head into the wall of his motor home" on Sept. 26, 2014 at Dover International Speedway. Sprint Cup was competing at Dover at the time.
Jones also noted that Busch had recklessly placed Driscoll "in reasonable fear of physical injury." Furthermore, Jones believed there was a "substantial likelihood" that Busch could commit further acts of domestic violence in the future.
NASCAR immediately suspended Busch when it learned of the court's opinion.
