Direct quote from the U.S. Legal Courts website...

"A preponderance of evidence has been described as just enough evidence to make it more likely than not that the fact the claimant seeks to prove is true."

Let's look at the key words in the article you posted and the quote:

    "More than likely"
    "Substantial likelihood"
    "Opinion"

We live in a world where a woman can cry rape or abuse, provide little to no evidence, and the man will be guilty until proven innocent. Getting a restraining order is easy, I've personally witnessed how easy it is. The judge's opinion was based on her account versus Kurt's. Which lets be honest Kurt ruined his case with the whole "trained CIA assassin" story. All I'm saying is I think NASCAR should've waited for either charges to be pressed, evidence to surface, or witnesses to testify. Travis Kvapil PLED GUILTY to assault charges against his wife and got nothing from NASCAR. This is the domino effect of the NFL dropping the ball on Ray Rice

I'm in the same boat as you. I'll probably just become a "Go Hendrick" type guy, not have a specific driver.

The tough thing, being a Jeff Gordon fan for so long, all other drivers are the enemy, so now trying to befriend one of them, goes against nature.

I have really liked the #2 attitude and driving style since coming to Cup, so I'm leaning that way, for now.... until the #24 gets Cup number 5 :)

A Mess for Qualifying tonight... how can they hold a race qualifying when 13 cars still had to pass tech?

    Brutal!

    Unorganized!

well maybe domestic vilolence will be one of those "no wiggle room" hot buttons that even a hint of it will lead to a firing or suspension etc. much like the gay issue, racism, left wingers etc...

Possibly goin to the race tomorrow. For Free. But it's supposed to rain, and I don't want to drive 2 hours for the possiblity of a rain out.

Got a lady friend that has a way to get me in, with pit passes. According to her, the only thing it's gonna cost me is a little D.......

20% chance of rain at the track. I'd go. Yesterday was great weather. We climbed up high, took off our shoes and kicked back.

We watched the Grand National race from the stands. Met up with some friends doing infield security. They drove us to the infield. We climbed up on a bus in turn 2 for the first half of the truck race before heading back to our seats. The Discount Tire hospitality tent was next to us with a spare Penske car. They were kind enough to let us climb all over and inside.

Looks like the rain is moving out. Race doesn't start until 1 or so. It should be fine.

It's just rain man and I'd say it'll clear up for the race. And hell if you don't give her the D someone else will

I just can't get into this as much as I used to be. All the constant rule changing killed it.
I think I need to get out to a race again just to feel it. Maybe then :notsure:

It don't matter if you like nascar or not, if you go to a track and watch them, you get addicted.

Come down to Richmond, I have a spare room with your name on it. I thought about going down to Bristol after our wheeling trip in April but it's still a 3hr drive from the trail.

I follow it a lot less than I did 5, 10 and 15 years ago. I don't really follow the season or watch races anymore. I do make a point to go to 1 or 2 races a year just for the smell, the feel, the sound and the rush.

    Re: Rule changes:
One thing I like is that they've given the drivers a little more control over in-car adjustments. I look forward to seeing how the new driver adjustable track-bar will benefit competition.
