Just a heads up he could have smoked pot over a month before the race and it would still show up in his system.

If they did hair testing and he had long hair it could be years since he last smoked and they could still detect it. If you smoked pot a day before the race you wouldn't still be under the influence. That's like saying you should never drink beer if you need to drive in the next 2 weeks.

Nvm I was wrong about not knowing for certain if he was under the influence

Not sure. But the way her car looks at the end of every race makes you wonder if thats really water in her bottle

I never said Ward was a victim Mr.Pee. What I'm saying is adrenaline takes over the body and just because he may have had marijuana is his system it doesn't mean he felt impaired at all. Nothing different then being injured and feeling no pain until the adrenaline wears off. But you know everything, don't you.
    Your comparing apples to oranges.

the bad thing is that his family has to come to grips that their kid was a dope smoker or maybe they knew it before the accident. I see where they are probably going to sue tony.

Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo said the victim, Kevin Ward Jr., was under the influence of marijuana the night of the accident "enough to impair judgment."

I guess that explains why we all wondered why he was chasing down a moving sprint car. His judgment was impaired.

Fortunately for Tony, I think Ward's family has no chance in court when they bring up the fact that he was under the influence. Just ask Pee Runner, he knows everything.

I can see him perhaps offering them money to settle out of court just to get the thing over and done with and even though he is innocent maybe that would alleviate just a little bit of guilt or remorse.

Not if the two people felt the same but one had alcohol and the other marijuana. Which one would you want to let race?

Not the person who drank alcohol. That is for sure. You also have to remember that alcohol and marijuana affect everyone differently. Does the average 200 pound person feel under the influence after one beer, no. Just because the toxicology report shows he was under the influence, it doesn't really prove he was impaired one bit.

There isn't a governing body for these weekly dirt track races

I get that, but theoretically what if one guy drank a beer but doesn't feel any effect another guy smokes marijuana and doesn't feel the effect. Both haven't felt an effect but one drank and the other smoked. Who would you let drive?Remember, both are not feeling any effects.

So , no minimum " license " requirement or qualifications to be able to race ?

Neither should be allowed to race under the influence. Weed, Booze, Coke, Heroin, PCP. none should be used before a race...
