So anyway, took the truck in to get an alignment. Turns out a bushing or something is worn in my steering rack and the drivers side tie rod has a lot of play in the rack. And they just finished looking at it. Guess who needs a new rack? This guy:(

You can replace the bushings and tie rods if the rack doesnt have play. Toyota says you have to buy a new rack but Synergy and TC sell bushing kits for them

Whatever the long, geared rod that the ball joints attach to:)

I hear ya. I had HIDs in the stock reflector housing before, and even though they're nicer for the driver, they suck for everyone else

as for replacing the rack bushings... go with the TC ones. they're a little bit more firm than the wheelers ones. i've had both since being long travel, and the TC felt better than the wheelers once i got them on

    ...too much shit to list.

You sure the extra stiffness you're feeling in the bushings isn't just your pecker getting a hard-on from being a TC snob? :D
I'm not doubting you, I just honestly can't see the difference between one polyurethane bushing to the next.

These bushings we're talking about, do they go on the outside or the inside of the rack? I know some go on the outside bolts, but for mine I can grab the tie rod and move it around inside the rack case.
