And todays progress. I'm going to try to post whatever I get done on the days I get out there, no matter how small it is, just to try to motivate myself a bit.

And my holesaws pooped out on me so I have to pick up new ones for all the stupid notches.
The sucky part about my welding is all the stuff on top looks super good since I'm facing down. All the stuff on the inside/bottom where everyone will see looks crappy since I'm lying on my back. I'm just going to go with it I think, don't really want to grind it and fix it. But it would look better... Grrr

When you are upside down, make sure you push your welds instead of pull/draw. It also helps to turn up your gas.

I've been pushing and up-handing(?) all my welds. I think I just need to be closer and have a good rest for my arm.
Good thought on the gas too, I'll look to see if I can turn it up a bit.
I may just redo the couple in the very front since those will be the ones I'm staring at all the time

Send me a pic (pm if you want) so I can see what it looks like. Easier to make suggestions that way.

Any reason I shouldn't put my ceiling piece in yet?
I'll have to cut it for my cab gussets but thats not a big deal

The only reason would be so it doesnt catch sparks and/or heat and catch on fire when you are welding

Good call. The only welding I have left up there is the gusset to the cab. I can hopefully put some fire proof stuff behind where I'm welding and protect it.
