    I kinda built them so that they would be a little higher than the seat so you can use them to get in and out. But the jury's still out on it. And I won't have to worry about pulling or tearing the fabric getting in and out. I don't know

    It should also provide some structure for is someone T boned you, and some support to the overall structure of the cage.
