    Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Working on it for the Natika camera (the "Upgraded" camera from anytime, and I'm sure others) mount for the pro grill (knockoff).

Looks great, but I’ll offer a suggestion. If you want to be able to use it for parking (or judging distance in general), you probably need to mount it lower, so you can see part of your front bumper for perspective.

I have the same (Natika) camera, but mounted much lower and it works great.

    Thanks for the input.

I'll see how this goes. I'm more interested in seeing which direction the trail goes after topping a ridge, but I may try to adjust the angle or alter the position if not having the bumper visible is an issue.
Trying to keep it up out of the way of the radar, and not stick out too much visually. Also trying not to alter the grill at all to make it fit.

I was going to take more pictures, but getting pictures of this thing is hard with the black filament. So how bout some renderings.

I've got the 7th attempt printing right now and I'm essentially just tweaking the final things and trying to get the surface finish on the "top" (front-facing faces) to come out nicely.
    upload_2020-12-11_13-24-3.jpg
(The bluish piece is what I'm making)

I added some little tangs to hold it in as a snap-fit, and those work pretty well but I figured that camera has a reasonable amount of mass. So I added some little standoffs that will take the same screws (I had a few leftover) as the letters on the knock-off pro grill. That way it will be on there well and I won't need to worry about it .
    upload_2020-12-11_13-24-58.jpg

Securing the camera was a little tricky, I ended up going with a small zip tie in the highlighted area below. The camera already fits snugly, this just keeps it from working it's way out over time.
    upload_2020-12-11_13-36-54.jpg

Most tricky part was re-creating the curves of the bottom of the camera so it would sit nice. It's probably not exact, but some of that is due to using the "camera model" as the cutting tool for the mount, so it accounts for shrinkage etc. of the material.
    upload_2020-12-11_13-56-31.jpg

Of course, I haven't tested this on the truck yet and the angle could be way off and terrible... But once I've got this dialed in small angular adjustments shouldn't be too hard (although there isn't a lot of room to play with, it's essentially at the most extreme angle it will fit without grill modification.)

I'm thinking I'll post up the Fusion360 file (maybe an STL) in case anyone wants to make one for themselves. And then just hint-hint at my ko-fi if anyone feels like buying me a beer or something for it

In the middle of installing she other pieces to support the anytime camera mod...

I think I got the piece final, through some filler primer on it, sanded, primed, sanded... Final coat matte black. Looks pretty good. A better printer (#meso) could probably do a lot better with less finishing.

I'll post some updates when I get everything installed.
