    this and that...
@TeecoTaco: hey wassup. the backstory isnt that interesting lol. basically i picked up this taco cause i wanted a second vehicle/dd to replace my previous dd (2018 corolla se prem 6mt). i actually owned two 2nd gen tacos before, so i had atleast some sort of familiarity with these trucks; one being an xrunner and one being a trd or. i always considered myself more of a fan of the dropped scene vs the lifted scene so i resonated with the xrunner a lot more. with this truck i wanted to have more of a sport truck dynamic, so that was the reasoning of my getting the trd sport; 4wd came with this truck, but honestly i dont see myself using it more than hooking up off the line lol j/k. i have no desire to lift and pretty content with the height its at. when it comes to the shifter, i actually was looking high and low for a good short shifter. twm performance looks like they went the way of the dodo and trd does not make a short shifter for this platform. i was a bit bummed, but digging a bit deeper i came across core shifters. i had a lot of correspondence with the owner. hes a stand up cat. put me in my place a few times cause he just really knows his product lol! lets just say, after a few trial and error pieces, i got this shifter exactly how i wanted it. it actually sits lower than the kit that he sells. as for the shifter assembly itself. pure bliss. this is probably the best shift kit that i have ever owned, and i been through more than a few. i wasnt really a fan of the typical hurst shift knob, so i went into my shift knob collection (again since twm performance went out of buisness) and ended up settling on the perrin performance 6spd knob made for the brz/frs platform; knob comes in just over a 1lb so the extra heft makes shifts super precise and notchy as hell. its fantastic. if you were asking about the yeti camino, well, as a new father...again, i wasnt about to be hauling around a diaper bag. i wanted something that looked good and could stand the rigors of whatever life threw at it if need be lol.

vehicles mentioned above. not off topic cause all of em are standard .
