Navigation issues

    My Tacoma screen is showing "unable to read the map sd data check the map sd". I have taken out the sd card and reinserted and it goes automatically back to that screen. The card was bought in august to replace the card not in it when I bought the truck used. Oh yeah, sometimes it will show the map for about 10 sec and go to the previously mentioned screen. I am wondering if buying another new card will fix it.

    I haven’t but I have a 2nd Gen, 2014. Try posting this in the 3Gen section and I’m sure you’ll get more help.

    I just got this issue going on today also. I read to disconnect the battery but I’ll test that out tomorrow. Let me know if this works for you

    You guys ever find a solution? Have the same issue. New micro sd card didn't fix this. I also removed the head unit and reinstalled it to make sure all the connectors were in tightly and the same. Push the MicroSD card forcefully and navigation works on the original MicroSD card for about 5 seconds then error pops up again

    I bought a new SD Card for 2024 (June 2023) and it updated. No issues for about a month or so.

    Yeah I bought a new MicroSD card too for 2023 since mine is the stock card from 2016. It says it wants to update but then the MicroSD card reading error comes back up.. wonder if it's my card reader at this point.. IMG_1130.jpg
