New to this tech, But ..
Using the "Infotainment" unit on my 2021 AC Sport,...

When I plug my Android phone into the USB jack and touch the MAPS button, Google Maps comes right up.
(I need to try this with Blue Tooth)

I had played with WAZE previously for motorbike trips, and now just installed the app on my present "Mobile Device ;-)

Will WAZE play nicely with the Taco Head Unit? Taking a second seat to Goofy Maps?

The Taco HU has never "automagically" displayed Gia that has been installed on my phone,
How does one get those "other apps" to display on the screen?

I'll try it soon, maybe tomorrow .

Just wondering what to expect and how to get the most out of it.

You cannot use Android Auto (AA) through Bluetooth, so no need to try.

Waze works just fine, and I prefer it to maps.

To display the AA compatible apps you have running, then when you have maps or some other app from AA displayed on your headunit, there will be a round "home" button that, when selected, will display all of the apps you have installed on your Android device that are compatible. It's not Tacoma specific.

If you're looking into other AA compatible apps, I'd look more into AA rather than the Tacoma headunit.

    Thanks!

Could you reconsider your 3rd paragraph (starting with "To Display..." and make more sensible sentences?

    I'm trying...

Like I mentioned. This tech stuff is hard for me.. ;-)
