It took me awhile to figure out what you changed. Looks good though.

 

It's really up to you man. As far as install it's nothing you can't handle. Also it's pretty cheap and I use mine every day from September to April haha.

 

Ya i figured since your up in AK lol. I think ill leave this on my list but sit on it for awhile. I think it would be a nice oem looking upgrade to have for passengers and what not. Wonder if i could just place it on the seat under the okole cover. Thanks for the input as always!

 

Hahahaha. I'm sure no pun was intended. And yes you can put them under the seat cover.

 

Topper electric lock because I hate keys haha

Here's a video. Almost all the noise is my tailgate lock though. If you've ever heard one of those you'll see what I mean.

I am very familiar with that sound. I have the same sound on my truck. One of the items on my to-do list is to see if I can minimize how loud that sound is in some way.

 

Yea it's not an easy one to mask. I sound deadened my tailgate and made an a "soundproof" box to go around the handle and still nothing. I eventually figured I can deal with it and I don't hear it that much when I lock my truck while walking away.

 

Nice, that was one of the things I wanted on my shell that I said I will get to down the road sometime. Are those 12V power on each side of the lock or something else?

 

Yep just 12v power. I ran power for my tailgate lock from the driver side drivers seat belt pillar as recommend from pop and lock. Then for the topper lock I just spliced into the tailgate line under the truck.

 

Nice I like that 12v idea. I'll have to dig around for how you did that. Also check out the pop and lock.

 

Finishedmy pop and lock install by making permanent covers for the other holes.

No the center post is the electric latch. It has a key alternate also. The other two holes were from the factory latch. I finally figured out a clean way to patch them up. Also I'll get back to your pm in a little bit.

 

ah okay. I misunderstood earlier. I thought you had some 12V items to plug in stuff from outside the hatch in the rear without opening anything.

 

Oh no. This is an electric lock for the topper glass so I don't have to carry any keys.

 

Added a quick disconnect fire extinguisher mount.

 

Finally reinstalled my topper after "color matching"!



I know it's not 100%, but it's not bad for a garage spray paint job. I'm already looking into vinyl wrapping it next summer haha
