Hell yea they are haha. Like surprisingly heavy. I thought the same and went to pick one up putting as much effort into it as I thought would be necessary and felt like I was going to break my back lol

 

What are you going to pair the Dakars with?

 

Bilstein 5100 adj front struts
OME 885 coils
HS 1/4" tps x 1
Bilstein 5100 extended length rear shocks
24" SS braided rear brake lines
Light Racing uca's
Diff drop

I'm hoping that will give me around 2.5" of lift and sit level with my cap on the back. Then I'd like to get maybe 285/75/17 tires.

I'm hoping so! I just want it to be right the first time because getting any parts up here will take forvever and I don't want to be down my truck while I'm waiting on something.

 

You're doing it right getting everything you want the first time. It is painstaking but the minute you drive your truck lifted it will all be worth it

 

I know man I can't wait!!

I greatly appreciate it man! It seriously is a great feeling to finish a project and it come out as great as this one did. They're not perfect, but they are as close to perfect as I can come. It's only about 28F out right now. That's not too bad considering yesterday was 18 with no snow. If it's going to be cold it better snow. I hate when it's cold for no reason haha

 

Did you black the side marker area completely on the bezel?

 

Nope. You can kind of see here that I left the reflector amber, but painted both reflector bowls black.

 

So damn nice. I may (high probablitly) come to you with a few questions when I tackle the BHLM.
