I was so psyched to do tho this mod and then I realized that my aux fuse panel mounting bracket covers the box that the relay is housed in (unless I'm dumb and don't see where it actually is). I've got so much hooked up to the panel at this point it isn't even worth it for me to disassemble it.

Maybe in a year or two when I'm truly bored...great writeup OP.

Glad to help some more people out!!!

LOL, yeah i could see an aux panel being put over that lil external box as the external box is a bit lower. Down the road, add it to the list of mods, you and i both have for our trucks!

:Woot: success. Here's the spot oli chose since I don't have the relay that everyone's normally tapping. 2013 Tacoma Prerunner. Thanks for the write up. Finally can use my XB led fogs whenever I want!

If i remember correctly the place you are pulling that 12v source from is a CONSTANT hot, which would allow you to run the fog lights on even with the ignition not turned on. If thats what you want awesome, but you could of actually pulled from the constant hot on the center leg of the fog light relay to do so (that way you dont have to run a wire between the boxes)

If not. move that wire over to the side main leg of the EFI fuse (pics a couple pages back)

You are correct. I figure its easier than to put the tap in another relay.

No problem plus I got the xb led fogs from trs and those are bright enough I can use those to drive without the headlights.

So originally this was a success... I hooked it all up correctly and it worked like a charm, a few days later I went to show a buddy... And nothing. So I figured maybe a connection came loose. Nope not that, so I went and made all new connections, yup, still nothing. So I took it all apart and put it back to normal, and the fog lights work like they're suppose to when turned to "headlight." Any ideas as to why this is not working? May a fuse or relay have blown?

Do you have a pic of you install.if not reinstall the way you did it and post it. Mine is different then the pic above and it took a little time with a meter to get the right power source. But it is hard to explain via text.
