Sounds like a bad connection somewhere... more than likely the switched on 12v ignition source (brown wire in OP)

Well I would but I didn't tap that relay .zuja8yta_91b2ae5cb7a414bc49a394da9944b0f334c77b9c.jpg. As you can see I tapped in a spot that is always hot so my fogs can come on when ever I'd want them to. All I can say if it doesn't work on the relay your tapping find a spot like I did and just use that for the power

I failed twice trying this mod. Just make sure everything. Is clamped down right and give it another try

    Wrecked!
If you have a meter or a cheep tester to check for voltage on the brown wire after you have tapped into the source that your using. With the ignition on you should have 12volts then connect it to the fog light relay. If its not the power source then it has to be a bad connection at one of the other jumpers you made.

Worked well! it took me more time to heat shrink the connectors than to actually hook it all up. I would definitely recommend doing this

I did it this way as well couldn't find any relay that i really wanted to mess with that wasn't vital so chose a constant 12 in an empty space.. only problem is you have to remember to turn them off of you'll run your battery dead

Ya but you can't forget. I mean I only use the at or around night time so I will always see them on and just turn them off.

yeah you got a bad connection somewhere... gotta crimp those connectors good and make sure the male connector that goes into the socket for the AC relay is actually INSIDE of the female spade connector in the socket.

Mine has been 100% problem free and exactly the same since i did this write up and pictures, havnt touched it.

I pulled over last night and did a side of the road check. All connections seemed quite secure. Like I said though, I'll get in there with a multimeter and figure out what the issue is pretty quick. Not worried.

I performed this mod with the fog light wiring powering two Rigid Dually D2s, so maybe that's part of the issue...
