First off, Thanks to the author, great write up. Clear, simple and easy to follow. Nice job.

I did this mod this evening and here's how it went for me.

Took me all of about 40 minutes, and half of that time was spent running down parts in my shop. I took my time like I do with most of these mods. Just want to get it right the first time.

This is how mine is laid out. 06 DCSB Pre-Runner, 4.0L.

    Simple enough. Made up the jumpers and installed them on the relay. And I taped these up before I buttoned it all up;

And because mine has the AC inverter, I was able to just run to it, at least I believe that's what that is. Bada-bing, bada-bang.

    Thanks again. Love this mod.

there ya go! yup i wanna say it was in 2012+ models where they put the fog light relay in that lil auxiliary box.

Just want to double check but you either taped up the exposed connectors or put some heat shrink over em right?

I decided to go ahead and shrink wrap them. Better for the long term.

just finished mine! thanks OP. that was too easy. i went with the dim relay so my fogs come on with the headlight switch.

quick question, the fog switch on the dash should still turn them on and off, correct? mine does and i just want to make sure i did it right. ('13 DCSB Sport) thanks again!

I did mine yesterday. Tapped the EFI switched power. I like the delayed power off effect it creates when switching off the ignition.

I would like mine to come on with the running (tail) lights, low & high beam. I found the tail light fuse (10A) under the dash, but was wondering if anyone knows where I could tap this under the hood so I don't have to run wire that far. I don't want them always on or just low/high beam. Thanks

You sure can. I can imagine that the halo's draw much. Just splice into a power wire to the fog lights.

I shall take a look at wiring diagrams and get back to you.

OK so i did some digging in the wiring diagrams.

If you wanted the fogs to come on with the tail lights, like you found you could pull off of the tail fuse inside the truck (or the tail relay thats inside the truck as well)

Thats a hassle as then you would have to go through the firewall.

Now if you have the towing package with the 7 pin plug, you are in luck. There is a TAIL TOWING relay in the main fuse box. This relay switches the tail lights on for the 7 pin plug / trailer. Pull a lead off of pin 3 of that relay instead of the AC relay socket like in the original post and you got exactly what you are looking for.

I do have the towing package. I will try that and see how it works.

    Thanks nd4spdbh
