So.... I did this mod about a week ago, last night while walking downstairs to take a piss, I'm blinded by my own damn light bar and fog lights. They turned on about 4-5 hours after I had shut the truck off. Does the EFI system regularly turn on every few hours?

its possible. Like stated in the EFI section, i have no idea if thats on the same circuit that comes on ever 4ish hours like the other green wire tap mod.

Why did you choose the EFI relay?

    ah gotcha,

Could always run a small wire down to the AC relay in the aux box.

Hey! just did mine works great!. There shouldnt be a problem with pulling the power on from the AC relay right? Just curious.

naw, the power being pulled from the AC relay, is probably a tenth of an amp, all it is is powering the small coil in the relay.

You might want to use insulated connectors on the relay. If one comes loose. IF. You may get a short.

So glad I found this mod! I never liked any of the other methods. The hardest part was getting the DIM relay out of the socket. The cover popped off the relay at one point and I used my SwisTool pliers to carefully grab the metal to rock and yank it out. Then I put the cover back on. Popping the cover off made it so much easier but I'm not recommending you do that. ;)

Instead of cutting, I filed the edges of the male connector until the pieces that were folded over fell off. That is how I shaped the connector that went to pin 1 of the DIM relay and it worked perfectly.
    20150518_175354.jpg

The completed job. :woot: Tested to verify it works and buttoned it all back up. I didn't see a need to color code anything since the male connectors simply plug into the same spots the relay blades would have.
