Yes, just trim the wires to a length that will allow the relay to lay in the box with the cover on it. Also, recommend using insulated connects which are not shown in my photo.

I did a couple wraps of electrical tape on mind so it wedges between the side of the box and another relay, Hasnt moved since i put it in place a long time ago.

Just finished this mod. It's awesome to finally be able to have my fogs on with my brights!

My 2014 SR5 doesn't have the inverter ( :( ), and I liked Tatonka's idea of running it through the stock wiring harness.

(Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. The sun was half on half off the two fuse boxes and produced a glare)

    IMAG0467.jpg

I wanted to be able to pop the hood and not be able to tell anything had been done, so I ran the wire through the stock conduit and zip tied/taped it back up to factory appearance

    IMAG0470.jpg

Ran the wire through the bottom of the auxillary fuse box

    IMAG0472.jpg

Insulated connectors like many have suggested

    IMAG0471.jpg

And there it is! Completely stealth, unless someone decides to open the fuse boxes :D

I did the mod like nd4spbh. Works as advertised. Had to trim the - blade down for the receptacle too wide. After I did it I read through the complete explanation :-0
I was thinking of just rewiring the 12V input at the socket just run a jumper from the pwr relay that is used with the bent blade?

I will be completing this at some point in the near future. In conjunction with insulated connectors, I will also use heat shrink tubing just as an added layer for stabilization of connections as well as giving it a nice clean look. What gauge wire are people using to complete this?

Add another successful install. 2015 dcsb trd or. Thought the switch off was lame as soon as I drove the truck home. OP you did a fantastic job of figuring this out and documenting. Many thanks.

I wouldnt go smaller than 16awg for the two main power wires. (big blades)
