My 2015 SR5 came without the fog lights that come in the TRDs. I am replacing the stock bumper with a custom bumper and will be including lights in that. What is not installed in a fog light delete truck that would be in a truck with that option? Other than the lights of course. I'm assuming the wiring harness would be the same, yes?

depends.... 2015 probably wont have the fog light harness.

Some trucks it was as simple as plugging in a switch in the dash, popping in a relay and respective fuse, and the foglights themselves.

ive seen a new 2015 4x4 DCSB SR5 with fog lights at a dealership. I was ready to buy it but when i called the dealer, i was too late and they had already added an appearance package which jacked up the price to $41K. you might be lucky if yours has been partially pre-wired for it. I went with one that had a fogs already to avoid this type of headache. Goodluck though.

I've got all my wires terminated and ready to be attached later tonight. How much has everyone been trimming off of the male connector for the ground? I don't have any dikes here (hehe) but I do at home (double hehe).

I used a dremel to grind down the male connector.

That is on my list of things and stuff to buy lol.

You don't by chance have a picture of how much you ground down do you? If there wasn't a monsoon outside I'd be test fitting things.

I did this two weeks ago, no TRD package, so I tapped into the EFI relay. Ended up pushing the connection down into the fuse box. Pulled it all back out and re-thinking where to get power from.

Way too much wire. Probably going to clean it up a bit but it's done for now and it worked.

On my 07, the relay is in the big box, when did they change it? What should I use for my 12v wire?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1455323980.384750.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1455323995.084096.jpg

I found a constant 12v, and used it. It isn't switched, but that shouldn't be an issue as long as I don't leave my fog lights on, right? Wonder what the empty slot is for that my truck apparently doesn't have? The 12v is the only used terminal in that slot, the rest are empty. you should still be able to use the ac/dc relay thats the big purple relay for this.

I forget the exact year, might of be 09+ might of been 12+ when they put the fog light relay in the lil aux relay box to the firewall side of the main fuse box. Either way its all the same.

The way you did it would just allow the fog lights to be on without the key in the ignition, you could potentially drain your battery if you left them on.

Right, but as long as I remember to turn them off, the way I have it is fine, right? I was thinking about wiring it to the relay under the dash that controls the parking lights, that way I can turn on the parking lights and fogs in the early mornings when I want to be seen, but don't necessarily need my headlights to see, that way I'm not blinding people and can still be seen in the front and rear. Plus then they would turn on or off with headlights or parking lights. (My headlights turn off when I open my door, if I don't turn them off manually). My truck is older, I'd have to run the wire into the other box to do it like the op. If I use the efi relay, my fog lights could potentially come on for a few minutes every 4 hours or so.... That said, if I leave them on accidentally right now I'll have a dead battery, so.... There's that. Lol
I'll have to get my meter out and probe around and find me a switched power source to use, unless someone else has a suggestion?
