Tap this wire, you won't have them turn ON sporadically..

yeah, right now i have it set up like this via efi relay:

ND4's Fog Light Anytime Mod... NO splicing, No Bending, 100% reversible

but i don't like the fact that the lights turn on every x hours. and, i'd like to make it permanent so i don't have to worry about those plugs coming loose. i'm ok with splicing/soldering. i don't see myself wanting to change it back to factory.

Anyone else had luck running their wiring in this fashion?

Not all trucks came wired for heated seats. If you don't see the female terminals in the relay block you can't use this method.

@nd4spdbh just did this mod, real nice write-up! I ran into a minor snag with the connector that borrows power from the AC relay, I didn't pay attention to why the bend in the picture is where it is and it wasn't connecting 100%. Re-bent it so it could seat itself better and viola. Now I just gotta figure out what lights to replace my factory fogs with!

I did the KC G4's in amber and have been quite happy.
If I was doing it today, I think I'd be looking hard at the Diode Dynamics lights. Nice quality, color, and cheaper.

Before the mod I press the fog light switch and the light for the switch lit up. After the mod it doesn’t any more. Is what I meant

Switch is only backlit, does not have a on/off indication.

To be honest I don’t know, I run my dash lights on the lowest possible setting.
