Everything is normal beside the switch not being lit up.

The switch is backlit based on if my dash lights are on, has nothing to do with the fogs being on or off.
I am sitting in my truck waiting for somebody as I type this so I tested it for you.

I just did this mod on my 07 using the magnetic clutch relay for the A/C. There are 2 spots in that relay that you get power once you switch it to ACC so I can leave the fogs on and not worry about running down the battery. I also used 14 gauge wire.

I ended up shortening the wire and twisting it into 2 halves. Then I pushed one half into each loop of the female crimped connector in the box before I put the relay back in. That was after this pic though. Using the blade connector you can see going into the grey relay bent the part in the fuse box a little, but still worked fine. Just didn't want the unnecessary pressure on it. I may update it with a new pic soon.IMG_20200108_075652.jpg

Nice. But make sure to insulate those exposed connectors. Electrical fires are no joke.

Yea it’d be easy for those to get bent to where they touch. I used insulated female spade connectors on that end. You should be able to find them easily at any auto parts store.

Finally got around to doing this. Works great; thanks OP! I want the anytime fogs for two reasons - to use as DRLs instead of the actual amber DRLs, and to be able to leave on when my brights are on. More light can't be bad.

One thing that might be useful that I hadn't seen in the thread was I used a ATO / ATC fuse tap to attach the switched power wire to the AC relay:

^ couple days in, I really like the added light in the dead spot right in front of the truck when the brights are on. The fogs fill that in nicely.

I just finished the mod. Easy and simple just follow the directions.
One thing to note, they make a spade fitting that is the correct size for the smaller fittings on the relay. No trimming needed.
    Thanks to all involved.

20200321_180114.jpg Just did a version of it on a 2015, you can make it work with just one wire if you dont mind bending the lead on the fog light relay. Rather than the older models in the main box, in the smaller box you must bend out then up. You have to remove as much of the shielding as you can from the connectors

whelp i messed up. i tried to hook these up to the trailer tail relay as it is close and would then allow the fogs to come on with the parking lights but i definitely backfed the tail circuit. now my parking lights wont turn off at all without pulling the tail fuse or relay. good news though... a new body ecu is only $900... FML thats okay, someone has to be the laughing stock right...? i'm confident i can get this to work properly, i just wasn't thinking at the moment.
