I am seriously considering the Limited Package on my soon to be ordered 2015 Tacoma. Opinions on value, please. I want heated seat, and it appears to be the only way to get them!

Dudes here hate the limited package. So you wont get many, if any guys saying go for it. I secretly think if there wasnt as much chrome on the limited some dudes would go for it, but not much love for the chrome on these forums in general . If you have the time and patience you can get aftermarket stuff (heated seats, turn signal mirrors, etc) and add them to say a trd and save money in the long run. I have the limited. I like it. I paid up for sure, but at the end of the day its still a taco, albeit one with too much chrome (though I did dip the badges, ha).

Word. Those katzkins are sweet, but arent cheap either. Think I read somewhere $1750 just for front two seats, which includes leather and heat and install.

I have 600 miles on my limited. I too wanted the heated seats and I actually like that they aren't real leather because leather seems to break down and crack so quickly. I really like it so far. People on this forum will complain about the chrome but it really isn't bad. I am not a big chrome guy either but it is not overkill. GM, Ford, and Dodge all do the chrome mirror tops and handles on their more expensively outfitted trucks. They are expensive but if you wanted an f150 with heated seats you are looking at $45k-$50k and then it is not the same as a midsize any more

Yes it cost me too much, has four doors, 18 inch wheels and heated seats. No I don't care if the shiny stuff shows through the dirt. Very capable off road - mid sized - V6 has power to spare.

    So far - So good!

Janster has a DYI on heated seats in her TRD sport. The link is in her signature. If the limited had heated mirrors that would be the cats meow. Too much chrome for me I vote SR5 or Sport mod it for less $$.

Love my Limited. It was everything I wanted and nothing I didn't want. They could have done with a bit less chrome, but, considering that the truck is black, I like the contrast.

$2000 not counting for install if you don't do it yourself for katskinz heated leather fronts, the back would still be cloth, and then add in the JBL sound system if you were wanting that and that cost difference starts disappearing. I am sure the aftermarket seat covers are very nice butI like the factory install stuff and that it is not a cover installed over some other covers and it is warranted.

I bought a '14 Limited and love it. I wanted factory heated seats in something other than fabric and they're attractive and comfortable for me. Yes, I know the dealer will install anything you want for a price, but I've had way too many bad dealer installed experiences and his leather/heated seat options were way overpriced. Aside from the heinous wheels, the remaining chrome isn't oppressive to me. The 17" TRD Sport wheels and the tire possibilities for them were more to my liking than the 18's anyway, so I got a new set of take-offs and sold the "chrome-clads" on Craigslist. It came with all the higher end sound and electronics and I don't have any complaints. I actually got a more significant discount on it than the lesser model I was considering because it had been on the dealers lot over 90 days and they were getting anxious to move it. Worked out well for me.

Well, today I went to Fox Toyota, Cadillac, Michigan to start my shopping for a 2015 Double Cab Tacoma with the Limited package.

I gave the salesman a heads up yesterday. When I arrived the test vehcle, supposedly was being cleaned and serviced, not available, etc.

Then the salsman told me that the Limited package was not available on the Tacoma, just the Tundra. I knew he was wrong, and kindly asked him to check his books, which he did, stating afterwards, "they don't make it" I told him I was sure they did, so he then called his manager who was at a meeting. The manger confirmed the Limited model is available.

The salesman said their is "little mark up" on the Tacoma, so MSRP would be the price. I then told him that I would check with other dealers, so he called the manager again. The manager supposedly told him they would knock $1000 off the MSRP if I bought today, which I did not.

Not a pleasant experience, little hospitality, etc. That dealer is the closest, but will be checking with others. Also, the dealer would have to trade an Ohio dealer, since no Limited's in Michigan, so would have 500 miles upon arrival. No way would I do that! The other option is ordering, which would be 12 weeks, at least according to the salesman.

I'd pass on the limited package and spend that extra money on suspension upgrades instead.
