Went and walked a good part of All Wheels tonight on my way home. Actually it doesn't look too bad. There's definitely some mud, but it all seems like it has a pretty solid base underneath it. If you want to get muddy you definitely can, but you don't have to worry about sinking out of sight unless you're really derping it up or you're going out of your way to get buried.
There was plenty of standing water, but the trails themselves are pretty firm. More a case of big puddles than of mud bogs and bottomless pits.
Unfortunately I forgot my smartyphone in the truck, so I ran back and grabbed some shots from the first wet spot just past the trailhead.

    Edit:
Also, there were some guys in jeeps leaving when I got there; they were mud-splashed and dirty, but none of them looked like they'd gotten buried. They gave me some funny looks though. Probably because I parked my street-tired unlifted truck, tucked a gun in my waistband, and walked up the trail in slacks and a polo shirt. :anonymous:

Edit #2: the mudhole that the jeep with the monster tires went through is still a soup pit, though. Or at least it looked like it.

Sweet. Make sure to bring the recovery gear. I've got a tow strap and snatch strap.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
You might want to stop by Tractor Supply and pick up 2 shackles. Tow strap is useless if you have no way to attach them to your truck. :D

I know.. I woulda thought more people would make the trip! It's not always easy to organize a group with how busy everyone is.

If I was working I probably would've gone, just can't justify a lot of "recreational" driving right now esp w/ gas prices like they are...

Shrug. I'm looking for a passenger seat ridealong anyhow, since I've just got the gimpy dunlops on Aggie right now. I can always hop out and take dramatic photos and crappy video with my smartyphone.
I might not be able to get them OUT of said smartyphone later, but at least we'll have them :D
