NE area wheeling trip plans

we were toying with the idea of joining ENH this weekend for their freeze your gas off, but the thought of leaving burlington at 5am didn't really excite me....so we'll be wheeling somewhere local if anyone around here is looking to get out..

no idea on the trail conditions or difficulties...anything from mild to wild

 

Damn... Almost a six hour drive, not including the 45 boat ride. A little much for a day trip me thinks... Would need to plan something like that out a little in advance. Make it a couple day trip!

 

I would love to hit carnage hill in NH power lines are doable by a stock truck. Good rocks and ledges to play on with go arounds the woods would require sliders at a minimum

 

Is that private property? Denis and I did NEA fall crawl a couple years back but I can't remember the name of the place .

 

I believe it is private but open to the public. Iv wheeled with with my club and we ran into a bunch of no affiliated wheelers out there I'll have to look into it.

 

Mitchell drive train. They make drive shafts and do a very nice job at too. I think they are in Shrewsbury/Worcester line.

 

I did capeway bearing and machine. I know someone who used to work there and they do awesome work. When I went in he said it would take awhile as they were in the middle of cranberry season and the have tons of equipment that need to be done quick. I decided I could wait as I needed to build a crossmember modify the floor, exhaust, ect. I just didn't expect them to still be backed up. They should be about done any day. But I'll keep that shop in mind as well.

 

If it wasn't so cold out it would be a good trip to camp at. We made a two day trip out of it last time I went. We hit another trail in the area I don't quite remember

And carnage hill power lines are public trails. The woods around it are NEA trails

 

I will next year. Hopefully a fall trip.

Anybody have any meets/offroad trips coming up in the NE? I'm in LI and wanna do some traveling..
