Seems like everyone I've come across not from the North East assumes New York and New Jersey are part of New England.

Yea, I grew up in the south my whole life. Going to Syracuse University for a military program for a year. Never really thought about it I suppose.

So the plan for Maine is to drive to the trains on Saturday and plane Sunday? Looks like a long ride on the back roads to the planes.
If I can take that Friday off we are going to go. Anyone book rooms yet?

Another 1st gen! The Maine trip sounds like it's going to be awesome.

Sounds like there are enough trucks for someone to try the overgrown road in...

1st Gen FTMFW!! Hoping I can make the Maine trip, getting off the Vineyard between Memorial Day and Labor Day is no small feat :annoyed:.... I havent even secured a spot off for the NH trip, but we residents have a few tricks up our sleeve

you got that right! persistence pays off with the SSA though, don't take no for an answer and be ready to nag the shit out of them till you get what you want. maybe the seller would be willing to take it over for you, if you cover the fare? would save you a trip and some coin. How big's the boat?

We may end up camping. Might be bringing the dog since our usual sitter cant watch him that weekend. It wouldnt be easy going out to eat if we have the dog in tow.

For those going to Maine make sure you have a bit of cash for the great Maine wilderness they charge a small fee per head as its private land. They don't take cards

Seller isn't on island right now. It's 26ft with trailer probably 30 or so and 4-5k pounds. I can't pick it up untill I get a title which sucks.
