Please share the location where we will be meeting before going into Nepaug. I believe you said diner? Diner may be a bad idea on a Sunday morning as that seems to be the busiest time for them.

I would suggest meeting on Ramp Road. Plenty of space to park to the side and meet and not taking up space in someone's business. I'm not organizing though and don't want to step on any toes.

That or meet at a market or something with a large open lot. Parking on the side of the road attracts unwanted attention.

The road I described is the one that people use to get into Nepaug. No other person would be driving there unless going in.

If you're looking for a big parking lot, Ocean state Job Lot is Canton is right near there.

Looks like there is a big gravel parking lot at some soccer fields/pond at '96 Powder Mill Rd, Collinsville, CT 06019'. @themajewski this way we aren't lined up on the side of the road.
Ramp Road into the forest is right there as well (you can see on the map below)

I will post up the list of folks coming later tonight as well as a more detailed plan. I will map out a potential trail route for us to take, which of course will probably deviate once we get out in the woods and find more trail offshoots. Really excited for sunday

I don't know if there will be much standing water there but I'm sure we will run into our fair share of mud and gunk throughout the day. I've been wanting to do the rear differential breather mod but haven't gotten around to it yet. Should I try and get that installed on Saturday or do you think it's nothing to really worry about for this trip?

Haha, that didn't take long. I think the last few pages cover a trial ride coming up this weekend in Conn.

Alright everyone, here's the "official" post for a day of wheelin' Sunday 11/6 @ Nepaug State Forest

    Where
    : Nepaug State Forest, Connecticut
    When: Sunday 11/6
Who: see below. We are looking at 16-20 rigs on the trail which is absolutely awesome. Pumped we got this together so quick. Please let me know if anyone's attendance changes so we don't wait up for anyone that's not coming.
Meeting spot: 96 Powder Mill Road, Collinsville, CT 06019 (gravel lot next to soccer fields/pond)
Meeting time: 9:30-10:00am. We will start the trails at 10:00am.
Trail guide/plan: see below map with a possible route that I planned out. I'm sure we will find more stuff along the way and/or want to re-do certain sections we decide are awesome.
Other: I plan on packing a cooler with water and food so we don't have to leave the forest for lunch. We can probably find an area to pull off the trail and chill out and eat whenever we feel like it.

I didn't make the list :/ I'm in for Sunday.

If you have the parts, hose clamps and zip ties it takes like 10 minutes. I ran mine up behind the driverside taillight.

Same here, and don't forget a big flat head screwdriver - for prying, picking, chiseling, etc. Also, after watching you do Mama Bear, I am looking for a used driveshaft to take along as well...no joke, I have been. Its a weak point on our trucks
