Ya but you want to minimize the amount of shit being messed up by the pieces of metal floating around in there. Plus, you could risk locking the whole rear up and trashing everything.

Was a good time regardless. I'm sure John will get things fixed up. Was a great recovery learning experience....bright side. It was good to meet you guys, some again. Thanks for letting us tag along. My son is hooked.

Scott glad to hear you guys had fun. It was frustrating, aggravating and fun all at the same time. One of the locals said at one time at least you guys came prepared with straps, shovels etc. He said he sees so many people out there without so much as rope.

It was defiantly a good recovery practice day. For anyone who doesn't have one, I highly recommend a snatch strap.

Like Rob said, frustrating at times but still fun. About an hour at most of seat time, and about 4 hours of recovery practice:rofl:

For the record, I also got stuck at a different spot same way as Rob. I slid right off the side of the path into deep snow like 10 minutes in:p

Seth, you've got to get a rear hitch as well for a recovery point.

John. Rob was trying to pull around me to pull John out of the ditch when he ended up in the ditch himself.

Yeah, that would be me that day. All i had was a farm jack in back. Some people would have really been screwed. You guys were prepared, no doubt. I just got some new stuff in the mail today. A 30' strap, CB, and a hook i'm going to try to mount to the frame somewhere out back.

Never would have got him out without the winch.

If you can winch him out you can pull him out
