I'm from NE CT and bought a pass for MV, South Beach, for the last two years.

    Loved it!

I'd love to find a place I can drive to, on in the mainland, even if it costs me more being out of state.

I don't know any vehicle accessible beaches in CT.

All of RI is pretty accessible and more the direction of Family.

Can you send me any info, maps etc so I can figure out how to do this?

Here you go. Really worth it. Though the birds keep things pretty restricted in June/July usually.

    http://www.riparks.com/4x4Registration.html

    http://www.crmc.ri.gov/offroadvehicles/BeachesTrails_RegsInfo.pdf

    http://www.crmc.ri.gov/offroadvehicles.html

NOTE: THEY DO NOT PRO=RATE the permit. So you pay full fee for July 1 - June 31 NO MATTER WHAT TIME OF YEAR YOU PURCHASE IT. Spring and Fall are great times. But It'll cost you $200 for the spring 2017 until July this year, then $200 for the following 12 months.

It seems they have a 3 day pass for $30 for out of state. But I didn't know they offered it, so you may need to ask for it specifically from the CRMC.

    Thank you very much.

I'll look the sites over, and try to figure something out.

Yeah they do the same pricing on MV , I think it's 4/1 through 3/31.

I do appreciate the references though, Thanks Mike.

East beach is the best bet, but since they are all right next to each other. You can kind of do them all. East beach has the most access. I haven't been out to Block Island yet in the Jeep. So this fall (maybe spring) I'll blow some money on the ferry and see how that is. What's great about block island is you can have fires on the beach. (But I'll have to see if that's changed).

Well, it seems it's always at least a few hours. If we mess around in the sand pit a bit and eat something, I'd say somewhere between 3-4.5 hours. But that's not set in stone.
