I'll check in with DEM if/when there is a plan. If they say no (which is likely) there is always Freetown. Nice wooded drive and some open areas to catch the moon. The open areas are actually roads. Only issue is there...it's haunted and I know peeps who WILL NOT go in there after dark...I am not one of them however

Did some wheeling in Middletown. Just a temporary dump of a couple pictures. I got a bunch of videos on the GoPro. Went with my buddy in the 4R and another in his Tacoma beater but has a 4R as well.

Lots of awesome trails, it's power lines mixed with other stuff. Feels like an off-road park just to go crazy in.

Weather was great. REALLY surprised how much the ground dries when it's not frozen up there. Good times.

Could not have asked for a better day! The little brother and I had a blast, got the truck nice and dirty, had a great little BBQ lunch at the pit.

Its amazing how much this looks like the spot in Glocester RI--especially that pit area

Pretty sure they are one and the same. This isn't the same as the Middletown CT run held the same day if that's what you were thinking.

No one played in the rocks at the RI spot? So you were basically just driving around dirt roads:notsure:

@USMCMike and I took a little detour up above the pit through a pretty rocky patch, I was slightly sketched (sliders and skids are about two weeks out) but we made it through without much more than me rubbing some plastic up front and a few bumstop slams. There were a few stock jeeps in the pack that wouldn't have made it through, so the rest took the main entrance to the pit

Big rocks + No sliders and only Ifs and trans skid = probably not the best idea for me anyways. I for one thought the trails we did were actually pretty fun. There was a few nice little obstacles like that one little ledge at the top of a little hill.

So no one did the rock climbs above the pit? Any stock rig could make it on the little road above the pit that comes from the gas line, there's just a few rocks there. The funnest part of the RI spot is the 2 rock hills above the pit.

For many i.e. *MOST* folks, stock and semi stock is a lot of fun. :) Out in nature, off the pavement, where most vehicles can't and don't go. Most 4X4 that off road are daily drives, costing more than $30,000, not paid for, and with $10-$20k in mods. It ain't fun if you ruin it. Anyway for me, it's the camaraderie and the fun of actually RIDING/DRIVING and not waiting in lines for hours while 2-5 people look on and scream about how to turn the wheel and drive the next 2 inches. In the off road world...it's degrees of interest, from gravel to boulders. To each their own for certain!
